It comes with the mounting hardware for your 2.5" HDD already installed, and a little Phillips screwdriver to tighten said hardware to secure your HDD in place. The activity LED is a nice touch and is Blue when idle, and blinks or turns solid Red depending on the activity level. I personally used a HGST 1TB 2.5" 7200rpm drive in this caddy which is in my Lenovo T440p. It worked like a charm on the first boot-up. Windows knew it was there immediately, and Windows is currently formatting the drive for use. I saw no reason to spend 2x on a Lenovo brand product when I saw good reviews on this particular product. Highly recommended.
