Review: I couldn’t find seaweed salad anywhere locally, so I gave this a try — and I’m so glad I did. I didn’t have high expectations, but it’s genuinely delicious and super easy to prepare. I use a 4:1 ratio of water to seaweed and let it soak for a few minutes, then drain and gently squeeze out the extra water. The texture after rehydrating is great — soft but still with a nice bite. I usually add rice vinegar, a little fish sauce, and sesame seeds for a quick and tasty seaweed salad. It also works beautifully in poke bowls and sushi bakes. It makes a surprising amount — the seaweed expands a lot when rehydrated, so one package lasts for many servings. I store it in an airtight container on the shelf, and it’s held up really well over time with no change in quality or texture. For a shelf-stable pantry item, this one really delivers.
Review: Very good.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Why does the product label not mention iodine content?**
A: Because the level of iodine in this product, while healthful, is still very low; so low they’re not required to post it. Just FYI, science has proven that consuming natural sources of iodine is HIGHLY beneficial to your health. Most folks don’t get enough iodine from “iodized” salt, if they even use it. If you’re a reptilian alien, perhaps it’s not something you should consume. Your choice!

**Q: This product/package description does not identify the ocean source of this seaweed. where is this harvested?**
A: The pkg. says it is a product of China, and that it is "Pacific" wakame. It is imported by Great Eastern Sun in NC. You can e-mail them at customersvc@great-eastern-sun.com or call 828-665-7790.

**Q: Is this good to make miso soup?**
A: Absolutely! Just soak them first and btw, there's a great recipe for miso soup on the back of the package. I've ordered this product numerous times. 👍

**Q: I am interested in purchasing this product. I wondered once the bag is opened how long can this last? Where should it be stored --- in refrigerator, pantrry etc? Thanks for your time - Marilyn**
A: Mind you, this is a large bag and depending on how much and how often you use it, it can last you either a few months or a long time.If stored properly, this will keep for a long time. So there really is nothing to worry about. Once you open it, break it up into smaller air tight containers or ziplock bags (which ever is preferable) and store them in a cool, dry place preferably out of the light. As to how much you break it up, try to do say about 4 week supply per container, maybe more, maybe less according to your needs.I keep mine store in under the kitchen counter in one of the cabinets.

This is absolutely delicious and easy to use. Added a tablespoon to my miso soup and it was the perfect amount. Tastes exactly like it does at Asian restaurants!
