Samsonite GUARDIT 2.0-14.1" Laptop backpack, 17.5L, Black (Black)

I was looking to replace my old Wenger backpack that I use for work. Looking to something less bulkier and lightweight but still with good number of pockets and protection for the laptop and comfortable for a daily use. Overall very satisfied with this one in all these aspects. I couldn't find any other option with this size and number of pockets / storage spaces. Although I can fit my 16' laptop it is best suited for smaller ones. Although it can be a bit pricey, I would definitely recommend if you value quality and versatility.

Strapes are strong, it is spacious. The backpack is of top quality. Highly recommended.

I am giving a 4/5 rating because this backpack is just as described, no more no less. It is clearly designed to straddle the thin line between living up to the Samsonite brand name and being able to compete with cheaper brands. The outside is well designed, just as shown in product pictures and the workmanship is impeccable. The only slight reservation I have is in the vertical orientation of the zip for the documents pocket. I’d personally prefer it horizontal as the last thing I want is for something important to fall out if the zip were left down. The three dual-zip compartments are perfect and roomy to accommodate even more than one laptop, nicely separated. I can only assume other reviewers that refer to issues like faulty zips and suchlike were victims of some random anomalies. I did not award 5/5 because the need to keep costs low shows through in a few little annoyances. The interior pockets, though sufficient in number, are thin and the material has a rather cheap and plasticky feel and crackle. I own other cheaper backpacks that have softer and better-padded pockets. The generous in number pockets are minimally functional, lacking the Velcro flaps common on cheaper alternatives for ensuring contents don’t spill out if the bag is not kept upright. Same goes for lack of nice little touches like carabiner and strap for keys or USB access-ways. The elastic water-bottle holders, while present, look like an afterthought. Their durability does not give me a warm fuzzy feeling and it seems like they’d pop if used for anything other than a slender bottle. They look as if any bottle carried would sacrifice the interior storage space, rather than bulge outwards. All in all, I can live with the little deficiencies which are to be fair not the end of the world. I am happy with my purchase because it ticks the boxes for which I bought it. Dispatch and Amazon delivery were not an issue.

good quality - I use it for daily for work commuting and abusing it quite a bit also for shopping or carrying multiple notebooks. is also quite good size as a small under-seat backpack for planes...

Nice and comfortable backpack, with plenty of storage and pockets. Excellent for business travel and meetings.

Bought this bag in March, started to come apart at one of the seams in May. After extensive searching to find a way to contact Samsonite support, I was informed I would have to pay for the bag to be sent to be inspected. This amount wouldn't be refunded whatever the outcome. If anything suggests no confidence in product quality, it's not being prepared to cover the costs where a product is deemed faulty. After arguing extensively via email, they finally accepted to arrange return shipping. I was sent the information and a courier collected the bag. Cue extended period of silence. I emailed the point of contact to ask how long I would have to wait and was informed it would be about 1 month as the repair facility was dealing with a lot of issues! (Again, suggests some issues with quality). Posting this on July 24th, I received an email 10 days ago stating the bag was indeed defective (good job I persistently argued for them to pay postage) and I would either receive a replacement or be contacted if a replacement wasn't available. I emailed for a timeframe a few days later....Emailed again pushing for a reply. Just emailed again today. Still silence. This is one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever endured and still no bag. So received this bag on March 10th 2023, fell apart in May and have been trying to get it replaced since then! That's 2 months without a bag! The reason for the title is because my previous Samsonite bag lasted about 20 Years. If I had known how they are now I would never, never, never have purchased Samsonite. I might as well have bought cheap rubbish instead of medium price rubbish. So, buy at your own peril, I will never buy Samsonite again.

This is very good product. Very high quality, good value for money and has ample storage space. I had previously had a one from HP and this one is way better.

Apart from protecting my laptop, the size of the other compartments are perfect for A4 documents, power supplies, your packed lunch! and springy side pockets for 2 water bottles. Best pocket though is a small zipped one, on the top of the rucksack, lined with soft fleece and perfect for your phone. iPhone 15 Pro in my case, with space to spare, so would easily accommodate a bigger one. I've bought a lot of rucksacks over the years. This is by far the best for being fit for the purpose it's intended for.

Kupiłem ten plecak pół roku temu. Od tego czasu intensywnie używam go. Jest świetnie wykonany. Po pół roku nie widać na nim śladów użytkowania. Jest dobrze przemyślany. Ma dużo miejsca i jest lekki. Gdybym miał kolejny raz podejmować decyzję, to bez zastanowienia kupiłbym ten sam plecak ponownie.
