You've gotta make sure they're comfortable, not tight. I'm small framed, so I can't speak for bigger girls. They're not too tight anywhere, if you get the correct size. (I'm 5' 5", 123lbs) They DO NOT stretch out and end up like 3 sizes bigger at the end of the day, like so many brands. They don't cut into my legs or roll at the belly. Size chart says small is for waist of 36-37" which seems quite large. My waist is 27", so these won't fit?** A: Hi they don't go up to your waist, they are not for plus sizes. My hips are 36" and I bought size 5 and they fit perfect. I have washed them many times hand wash and they haven't lost their fit. I highly recommend them. I hope this information is useful. My waist is 28" just for more reference. **Q: Do they show under leggings?** A: No. These aren't my favorite though. They can ride up and the lace part will roll down.
