That said, my very old ethernet cables were literally coming apart, with one showing the wrapped wires underneath the covering, and one of the others losing the snap-in connection. I purchased the Cat 7 because I wanted to future-proof my system.I hadn't realized how spotty my internet had become over the years until I snapped these in. Now my aging iPad (I do tend to be frugal!) can get a signal in the living room, and everything just seems speedier. These cables are the only changes I made. Since I had Fluke DX1800 network tester available I bought multicolor 5feet 6 pack to test. All cables passed Cat 6A (this Fluke does not support Cat 7 testing) tests with flying colors.Convenience of flexible flat cable for patch cables is difficult to overstate. It is so much easier to deal with cable in tight spaces. I just wish they had more colors to help with tracing.
