Best purchase for the summer pool. I live on a well.. cartridge filters DO NOT WORK for well water. They fill almost immediately with the iron and metal and minerals. The pool stayed brown.As soon as I introduced this sand filter, after 24 hrs of metal sequestrant, my pool went from brown to CLEAR. I never seen anything so magical. It has kept my pool clean and clear ever since. The only things that was a bummer is a peice was cracked, and a peice was missing. There was no valve for the water to stop going in when you need to provide maintenance to the pump, it doesnt come with 2 tubes for if you dont have intex brand and have 2 hoses for water to feed the pump. And it doesnt come with 2 bolts that are required for assembly.

Great filter!! It is a little bigger than the one we had. It really blows that water back in. You can see it rolling all the way across the pool! It seems to clean better. Has automatic setting where the pool will come on at whatever time of day you would like!

This is possibly the best upgrade I made for my 12x30 intex pool. I barely have any dirt and it maintains crystal clear water while maintaining a steady temperature as well as powering my waterfall pump.Set up is easy with the correct upgrades and maintenance is also simple. While i have occasionally gotten an algae bloom from the extreme heat . I found it disappears over night wants treating the pool.Backwashing is the easiest thing to do and has eliminated the constant need to wash a filterSetup is self explanatory and I regret not doing this sooner.

Good pump & cleaner however pushes sand into the pool. I tried every troubleshooting suggestion and used AI and still get sand in the pool. Cleans well.

My son purchased a 12X20 Bestway pool wich came with its own water pump but was only okay for 2 weeks and a ton of shock chlorine. I’m a bit OCD and did my research. I was not tempted to sit in that dirty pool anymore :(I purchased this Intex 2800 and sand-after 24-48 hours the pool was so clean! In addition we used a pool brush and vacumm to remove early algae from walls and floor.We also vacummed sand, dirt, hair ect. My kids go in there and maltipoos.We have pump on daily 8-10 only. And we drain the dirty water thru the release valve weekly or as needed. If the suction is low you know it’s time to drain the accumulated dirty water inside pump. It’s very easy to install and use. I def recommend it!

If I could give this company a 0 star then I would!!! The pump started leaking about two weeks after we installed this on our pool. The warranty on this pump was advertised at 2 years. After speaking with a warranty person he started it was denied to using an extension cord. The cord we used is a proper 14 gauge cord. Again, this is not an electrical issue it’s a mechanical issue where the pump is leaking between the strainer and motor!!Stay away from all intex products!! They do NOT stand behind their products at all!!!

I considered this pump for far to long. I wish I baught it a month ago. I have an 18' round bestway pool. We have a small grey 8400 gallon pump. Our pool holds just over 8200 gallons. It just wasn't moving the water much. Time to upgrade. The 2800 pump was cheaper than the 2100 so I got the 2800 on sale. It's perfect. I thought it would be to powerful however I am thrilled for my choice. The water is moving nicely now. The pump was super easy to install. I watched the video. It was easy to follow. I did purchase an attachment kit but I didn't need it at all. The hoses i have are compatible. Keeping it, as its always nice to have extra pieces. The only pieces I will purchase will be the shut off valve for the intake hoses so I dont have to use the black stoppers when I empty the leaf basket. It is so quiet I have to keep checking if its on. Great price Great pump.

I dont no y I didnt get this sooner! So much better then having to buy multiple filters those white ones that they recommend changing weekly . Even tho my old filters was cheap cuz it came with my pool this one actually is way more cost efficient after the initial purchase would and have recommended this filter to my friends that are getting or already have pools

I am actually so impressed by how well this works. It has completely changed the way the pool operates. I ordered the pool skimmer as well and within 20 minutes all the leaves and debris on the surface disappeared. This new setup is going to completely change how much maintenance I will need to do this summer. It is only day one but as of right now I highly recommend swapping to this (I have a 20x12 Bestway Powersteel pool). If you do get the skimmer and you have a dual port setup, you will need to close one port for best operation. As well if you have the solar mat like I do, I had it conected and it reduced the flow significantly, once I bypassed that it was 2 times more flow.

Big tank for sand is cracked and will not hold pressure therefore it’s garbage
