I saw a motorized one in a restaurant and would like to buy one for a gift. Is this motorized?** A: No, not motorized. You place the fruit in the well and push the top down to push and cut fruit through the blades. Perfect cut slices! It works great if you need to cut a large amount of fruit. Heavy duty plastic- strong and sturdy. I’d buy again. **Q: Does this work for oranges as well?** A: It could possibly work. I have not tried it as the wedges would be to large for the way I use. I use limes wedges. The orange would have to be of a size that fits inside. A large naval orange probably would not fit. **Q: Would this be hard for an older person to press down on? (Does it need a lot of force?)** A: There should be no problem for an elderly person. The unit is made to wedge a lemon or lime one at a time and the citrus saber is designed to use both hands; so I don't see an issue here. Don’t waste your money on the cheaper ones. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good for when you have to cut a lot of lemons perfectly! *by V***L on September 20, 2025* If it pushed in with a bit smoother and sharper blade I’d give it five but there’s nothing else better on the market right now. This one is the safest and easiest to use right now. It’s pretty easy to clean too. I like it for the kids. It cuts evenly. I like how it cuts completely through the lemon. All the other ones that I use- the fruit gets stuck at the end of the blade and it’s not safe as this one.
