This replaced a 10 year old Kwikset that fell apart. This Amazon handle fit the Kwikset latch that was already in the door, and a side-by-side comparison of the old and new latches showed them to be exactly the same. The mechanism inside the handle also appears to be largely the same. Made this an easy drop-in replacement. Took about 5 minutes total to replace everything, including swapping the levers from right to left hand. Its been in use for a few days. It feels solid and works smoothly. It will get daily hard use, so time will tell about durability.
