Decent for the money
So I started using an old school razor about 2yrs ago. I felt like it was time for me to grow up and become a real man. Plus the feeling of using said razor is not only relaxing, but will easily give you a 150% better shave than the trash you find in your local dept store. I get compliments from anyone that feels my face after shaving with my REAL man razor. With that said let's get started. Pros: - Sharp, very sharp. Have cut my fingers on the blades before when not paying attention to how I was handling the blade. - The blade will hold it's edge easily after a half shave. - Being that it's a solid piece, you can easily recycle the used razors after you are done with them. I put mine in an empty can of chili. Cons: - The outer packaging that the razors come in is horrible. Literal hell. Sometimes it takes me several minutes to open up the outer box of razors that houses 5 razors each. The plastic on the box is very tight and while damn sturdy, it's hell trying to open them up for the thing piece of metal inside. - The blades say Teflon coated, but I call BS. The reason the blades glide so well is a combination of my pre-shave oil and then the cream I build up with my badger brush and bowl. Without the pre-shave oil, I will get nicks and cuts on my face constantly. Regardless of how much shaving cream I lather on. Main takeaway: - Buying razors like this is fantastic. - You spend maybe $30 for a package of razors that depending on how much you shave that will easily last you all year. In my case I shave roughly twice a week and I still have well over 5mo worth of blades to be used. - Not only do you save money, but it's better for the environment - Make sure that you get yourself some good pre-shave oil before you shave. It will definitely help you from carving your own Michelangelo on your face

There's magic in these blades
My headline comes from another previous reviewer. But he is right. I get a wonderful feeling after shaving with these that I get with no other blades: the feeling of a true BBS shave, with no discomfort or irritation. And I can get most of that feeling with only two passes. Don't let the first pass fool you - these blades are deceptive! I want to talk about the Voskhods vs. Astras vs. Gillette Silver Blues, which the Voskhods seem to be compared with most often. All observations are personal and YMMV. The Astras are wonderful blades. On a scale of 1-10, I would give them a 10 on forgiveness and comfort, a 9 on efficiency (closeness of shave), and a 9 or 10 on durability (number of shaves). They give me a nice close shave on three passes, with zero irritation. And I can get a good six shaves (at least) out of them. The GSBs are very comfortable and forgiving, too. I give them a 10 on comfort and forgiveness. But they just don't do it for me as far as efficiency and closeness of shave. BIG difference between them and Astras or Voskhods. I give them a 5 at best. For durability they are not that great either. I get 4 shaves tops out of them and that is stretching it. I give them a 4 for durability. Now for the Voskhods. I get a magically close shave on three passes and an excellent one on two. I give them a 10 for efficiency and closeness. They are also very forgiving and comfortable, but just a tad below the Astras - I'm more prone to getting a weeper or two on the first shave with a new blade - I give them a 9. Durability is the big difference between these and the Astras. I get 3 three-pass shaves or 4 two-pass shaves out of them. I give them a 5 for durability. In the end, my advice is to use the Astras as daily shavers and the Voskhods for the weekend (a date or going to social events). They are both great blades but these Voskhods, man, they are magic! I just don't quite get that magical feeling with the Astras. Nevertheless, you won't be disappointed using either blade.

These are AWESOME. Best blades I've used yet.
After reading a glowing review on (I think) RefinedShave, which the guy who runs the site mentioned these as his all-time favorites, I tried a few of these and a bunch of others in a sampler pack and found myself agreeing with him. I have a very, very sensitive face and have real trouble finding blades that don't leave my skin cut and/or burning while still leaving some rough patches behind. These are just terrific. Using 3 passes plus one "clean up" spot check, I get a really smooth shave with few nicks and cuts (usually none at all) and rarely any razor burn at all. Also unlike most of the other blades that become pretty much unusable for me after 3 shaves or so (4 if I'm lucky) I can get a good solid week (7 full days) out of one of these before I'm feeling like I might want to toss it, and even then I've occasionally still felt like I might be able to press on and get another shave or two or three out of it if I really needed to. These are just amazing, and for such a low price, they're unbeatable. My second favorite blade is the Astra Super Stainless, which shave nearly as well on the first couple of shaves but degrade much quicker after that and certainly don't last a week. Most others I'd tried were pretty bad experiences for me, so these will be my go-to blades for the foreseeable future.

Fun!
After trying out the Voskhod Double Edge Safety Razor Blades, I have mixed feelings about their performance. While these blades work really well in my vintage Gillette razors, I found that they didn't perform as well on the sides of my face as they did on my neck. Despite this, I shared some of these blades with a friend who absolutely loves them. For me, it's been fun to have these blades in rotation and to try out different options for my shaving routine. And for the price, it's definitely worth giving them a try to see if they work well for your individual needs. Overall, the Voskhod Double Edge Safety Razor Blades are a decent option that can provide a good shave, especially when used with vintage Gillette razors. While they may not work perfectly for everyone, they're definitely worth a shot if you're looking to switch up your blade game.

Shaving comes down to science. Finding the blades that work for you is half the fun of wet shaving.
Many things come into play with how a blade will work for you. What kind of skin you have, what kind of hair you have, how well your skin is hydrated, how well you hair is hydrated, what kind of soap you use, what kind of brush you use, what kind of razor you use and how you take care of your precious face post shave. So this review is based on me and what works best for me. This may work for you. Or not. Try it. I love these blades. I use to use only Feather and Bic blades after trying a massive variety pack years ago. I settled with feather for my expensive blade and BIC for cheaper blade. I bought some of these Voskhod, some persona lab blues, and Kai blades to try out recently because they were not in the variety pack i used a while back. I don't care for the Kai blades they seem to be a very mild blade in terms of irritation but they don't seem to cut that well, definitely not anywhere near Bic or feather so if you have a sensitive face these might be good for you. The Persona Lab Blues seem to cut better than Kai but not as well as Bic but are even more mild than Kai which is great but they cost more than feathers which are already expensive. There are die hard fans out there. Im not one of them. You might be. Voskhod is a little more or just as mild as persona lab blues and just as sharp with Teflon coating and a little sharper and just as mild as lab blues and almost as sharp as Bic after Teflon wears off (Teflon wears off after about a half a pass or a single full pass). These Voskhod are half the price of Feather and less than half the price of persona labs but more expensive than BIC by a couple dollars for 100 pack. If you want to spend money and don't have a sensitive face use feather. They are the sharpest out there. And coupled with an aggressive razor like an open comb or slant they blow away any beard around, at the cost of not being anywhere near mild on your face and larger learning curve for less experienced shavers. Throw the blade is a mild razor and get a great middle of the road shave. However the feather blade goes dull after a shave or 3 depending on your hair and how many passes per shave you do. I will never stop using these. If you want a very cheap costing blade with almost as much sharpness as feather, but a little more forgiving go with BIC. In an aggressive razor it feels a lot like feather but still not there in terms of cutting power but close. Bic are not only half the price of feathers but also seem to last about 2 times longer before being dull, practically making these around 25% of the cost per shave as feather. I have noticed that these blades are not that great in a mild razor but in an aggressive razor is where these blades shine. If you want a razor that is leaps and bounds more forgiving than Bic in terms of being mild and almost as sharp as a BIC get this blade. At only a couple dollars more for a 100 pack over Bic these are still 50% of the price of feather and thanks to the Teflon at the beginning of the first shave these blades seem to last an extra shave or 2 over Bic. Putting these blades at around the same price per shave a Bic. These blades are now added to my rotation and almost replaced the Bic if it wasn't for Bic being a little sharper and cheaper. In closing, for me I use Feather, Bic, and Voskhod. Feather for cutting power, Bic for less cutting power but easier on the skin, and Voskhod for a little less cutting power than Bic but double the forgiveness to skin. All depends on how much growth I have and how lazy I feel. Don't shave with a feather when half asleep you will look like a cat attacked your face. Grab the Voskhod next time.

Great blade for my face and my style of shaving in most of my razors...YMMV
First, any review about razor blades that begins "This is the BEST blade ever!!" or "This blade is horrible!!" is written by a newbie who hasn't the depth of experience about wet shaving to realize that there are no ABSOLUTES in this endeavor. Personally I cannot stand Shark blades in any DE razor on my face. But many people get a decent shave and some get an outstanding shave. What I'll say, is that Shark blades give ME a terrible shave. But I don't think it's fair to say that they are terrible blades. I have 8 razors, a mix of brands, materials and styles. Open combs, closed combs, slants and even an adjustable. i bought a 5 pack of the Voskhod blades from another website. I tried one in my "go to" testing razor, a Parker 24C. It's an open comb razor but it's mild enough for a beginner. Aggressiveness is more a matter of blade gap and head design than whether or not it's an open or closed comb. The Voskhod is a very well behaved blade. With a three pass shave and some polishing, I get a BBS result every time. I tried a 2nd blade in my iKON DLC slant and a third blade in a Mekur Futur adjustable. All 3 razors handled the blade extremely well. Then I tried a 4th blade in a closed comb aluminum Standard razor...SAS at best a a few nicks. A bad blade??? Nope, put that blade back in the Parker 24C and it did fine for shaves 3 thru 5. (Blades are cheap I never go past #5) So, I bought a display pack of 100 on Amazon, but I'll never put another Voskhod in my Standard again.

Amazing blades, much cheaper than Feathers.
These razors are top notch! They're quite sharp, but also have a degree of forgiveness, that makes them one of my go to blades at the moment. I haven't come across a bad blade yet, and even with very coarse facial hair, if I wanted to, I could probably get 5 shaves out of each blade. I definitely recommend trying them out if you haven't tried these infamous blades yet. I'm sure glad I did!

Great Blades
These razor blades are what work best with beard/skin. I get very little skin irritation from these blades. I've used ton of different blades like Astra, Gillette Silver Blue, Gillette 7 o'clock, Feather, Rapira Platinum, Big Ben, and Norco. These blades are both durable and comfortable. Runner ups are Astra Platinum and Feather. Feathers are good but I find they dull quicker on my beard. These Voskhod blade are a recommended try!
