Review: Can't beat it for the price. - Overall, I am very pleased with the KDC-152. This is a great unit for anyone who wants a decent receiver with CD and auxiliary input at a very reasonable price. No Bluetooth, but works great with my Samsung Galaxy using a 3.5mm stereo male to male cable. Most settings are intuitive, and the controls are OK, too - like most units this size, the buttons are small, but it's either small buttons or smaller display, so... Display is easy to read and not too bright at night - it's actually blue characters on black background - most photos online make it look like white on black. Display can also be dimmed using the settings menu. Many other receivers are so bright at night that they almost blind the driver (me). I have a Dual XDMA450 that works great during daylight, but at night I actually cover the display with a rag 'cause it's too bright - and that is with the display set to the lowest level. Sound quality is better than I expected, with plenty of options, including two bass-boost settings, and the tuner pulls in several more stations than the receivers in my other 5 vehicles. Also, once you select a display mode, it does not change like some other manufacturers. I just returned another unit (a DUAL DCBT304U) that worked fine - except to view the clock during CD playback required pressing the DISPLAY button seven times. Then as soon as a new track began, the display would reset to the default mode, and you'd have to repeat the seven-button-press to see what time it is. Really nice in traffic. Anyway, the KDC-152 stays in clock mode unless YOU reset it - like it ought to work. Bottom line - ya can't beat it for the price.
Review: It works well - Bought this to install into my mother's 98' Nissan Maxima. Easy to install, looks great. It's simple and gets the job done. My mom doesn't know any better, but that ol' lady is way extremely happy with it... lol. Personally I was really surprised by the power that it puts out and the clarity of the music. I threw away the instructions by accident, and I still manage to program this thing with all her favorit radio stations, the sound, the clock. Very user friendly, and I would recommend it to anyone on a budget. Even to people who are not a budget but want something simple that gets the job done well.

A: Yes it has a detatchable face plate.. its easy to take off some what akward to put back on. it also doesnt come with a face plate case but is a great cd player

A: Morning, I would suggest buying it. Reason being - if you need it, and you are having the new unit installed at say, Best Buy - the cost of the wiring harness from them - could be 29.99 - not including installation cost.

A: yes and it will do more, play your ipod, mp3 player anything you can pplug a chord into and it reads disks perfect no skips no distortion. very very good stereo

Overall, I am very pleased with the KDC-152. This is a great unit for anyone who wants a decent receiver with CD and auxiliary input at a very reasonable price. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great unit for the Price

I've always been a Kenwood fan, so I went with this unit. Although I had some setbacks with installation, I finally got it in. The directions leave alot to be desired, even though I knew what I was doing. My older vehicle (1986), wiring harness to my old radio, needed a few mods. Had a shop manual, which finally help out. Just remember, the Yellow wire needs it's own hot lead connection to a always on battery source (that wire is used for memory only), The instructions don't tell you that fact. Had to find a Courtesy light wire, (my choice), in the dash to spice in. Like anything new and digital, there is a learning curve for controls. Could be better, but Unit itself now works great and sound great too. Fit perfect in my old space and would recommend this unit to those looking for a basic great sounding system. P.S. the CD player works great and the aux input in front is a bonus.
