I use the top to make wonderful grilled cheese sandwiches on the stove top and the bottom is excellent for baking corn bread, fruit cobblers and crisps and the like. It’s heavy (as to be expected) and cleans up easily with soap and warm water. (You still need to dry it thoroughly, especially the rim of the top and bottom that are not enameled.)
