Can you use this for resin art making?

You can but it’s small rock size. I use it for my electric fireplace for ambiance. I’m sure you can find many ways to use it. It’s not resin.

Do i need to wash before using?

I did - the glass has a tremendous amount of dust and fine particulate when you open the bag it comes in. I washed it in a 5 gallon bucket then drained off the water and the pit looks fabulous with the clean glass in it.

Is this tempered glass that won't pop or explode under heat?

Yes, I use them in a gas fire pit
