Bakon Hickory Seasoning

Love it. I believe this is the same product that used to come in a little silver wrapper with black print. As a kid some 50 years ago, mom used to purchase. Use for salads, eggs, even on fresh cut pork chops for a little smoky flavor. Get the taste buds in an up roar. Shake a little in palm of hand and taste. :)

Does not add much flavor unless a large amount is used. I was expecting that 1 teaspoon of it mixed into a single serving of food would add a bacon flavor hue to the food, but it does not. In fact, it does not add much of any kind of flavor unless much more is added. Considering the small amount for the price, I do not consider this as a good, not even reasonable, value. I tried this brand because the "bacon base" I tried is too salty; this is not salty, so that aspect is good; but it has very little flavor.

Never used this item before. Has great smoky flavor. Use it in a vegetarian meatless dish and it worded just great. Will try it in other dishes that call for this product.

I had ordered this for my younger sister and I. We grew up with my mother using it to flavor green beans. We have been searching for this product for at least 25 years so I was so excited when I found it here. I absolutely loved this on popcorn along with some cheddar cheese seasoning. When I am the only one home at dinner time this will be my "meal." I sure hope it becomes available again through Amazon. I am sure that cooks can come up with a lot of great uses for this wonderful product. It is also great to "jazz" up soups with.

Good for you and tastes good, especially on scrambled eggs! I highly recommend everyone add this to their diet and stay as healthy as the Seventh Day Adventists!

I got this thinking it would taste like doritos. The flavor is mildly smoky, but there's no tang. Also, the powder is messy and falls off the food more than expected. Perhaps there are directions to avoid this, but I did not see them.

I love this seasoning and hate to be without it. Great on eggs, grits, mashed potatoes & in soups.
