101AV 16CH Hybrid HD H.265/H.264 5in1 DVR/NVR Security System, 1TB HDD

I just finished my installation of this unit, and it was very easy. I did have some questions and called the number provided, and guess what, they answered. I called three times because I wanted confirmation and I screwed up one time, but every time I called, they answered the phone, do you know how important that is. The unit so far is working great, still playing around with some of the controls, but a very nice unit. I'm not interested in all the unit offers, it's just a home security monitor and I don't need to watch it remotely or on computer so for me, it was a pretty simple installation process. I did order another one from amazon originally, but sent it back after some issues I had with it and and them not responding to my emails in a timely manner, and the DVR remote different from what was shown in there online brochure, so replaced it with this unit, and I'm glad I did.

If you only need remote P2P viewing and no custom settings, this seems to be a good DVR. I really wish it would have worked out for me. I prefer a direct connect and skip the P2P. Loss your P2P vendor and your lose your remote access to your cameras. Pros: Nice HDMI video Nice firmware and options P2P is nice for users that are not familiar with port forwarding Tech support did try to help, but could not resolve the issue Cons: CMS software issues on Win10 Did not work with IE11, EDGE or Firefox browser P2P travels to China and back for your remote pleasure Would not allow port forwarding to work to gain remote access directly

Great product.

This is easy to use DVR. I don't have to access my router to like some the old DVRs to allow remote viewing. Instead, I enabled remote access using plug & play Platform Access in the network settings. Also, this DVR works with my older cameras from broken Swann kit.
