I hesitated because of the cost, but after half mouth of hard use, I only regret not buying it sooner. The main reason I got it was for BMW/Benz online programming. Had a5-series with a used DSC module. Normally that’s a dealer trip or $400 remote coding. Hooked up the Autel MK908 PRO II with the J2534 box, followed the on-screen prompts, and the module flashed like a charm. Solid connection throughout, no dropouts. But it’s a total workhorse. Full system scans, not just engine/trans. Had a Hyundai with an airbag light that cheap scanners couldn’t read. This scan tool pulled the code in 30 seconds from the moment I plugged in. Bi-directional controls are smooth too. And one more thing, the support actually picks up. Had an issue with Autel cloud login once, shot them an email, got a real person responding in under an hour. That alone is worth it. If you’re just tinkering with an old Civic, it’s overkill. But for indie shops or serious DIYers swapping modules and coding? Buy once, try once. No regrets.

Running a shop for 10 years, I've burned through countless scanners, but the Autel MK908PRO II's J2534 programming actually made coding BMWs/Mercedes predictable. I originally had an issue with the OBD connector not working, so I ordered a replacement. After replacing it, the entire scanner completely stopped turning on. Now the whole unit is dead. This has been very frustrating, especially since the tool has not been used heavily. A diagnostic scanner should be reliable, and I did not expect multiple failures like this.

Scanner works great. Allows me To do multiple functions along with live data. Using the j2534 I can program new modules using oem software. Would highly recommend

Being a diagnostic automotive tech. I saw where I had a major gap to fill with scan tools. I couldn't purchase the OE tools so I figure that I can invest in something close to the OE scan tool. I chose to go with one of the best aftermarket tools on the market. I believe the MK908 pro ii will fill this gap. I am excited to run with the big boys a bit. Autel scan tools have always been top notch so I don't expect nothing different from this tool. I was able to use it on a Nissan Hybrid and diesel vehicle. Was looking for something that could program key fobs and control outputs this does that and much more it can also graph sensor signals and voltage helping the diagnostic procedure, was very easy to setup and register so far I am very happy with my purchase.

Iv been the owner operator of my shop for 10 years and have been through just about every brand scanner there is but the past 3 models of scanners iv owned have been Autel, u just can't beat the features of this unit for the money spent, yes it's not a US model but Iv yet to run across any issues. I don't use ADAS so that's a none issue for me. I will update this review if I have any problems.

long battery life while using. Works on Imports and North American. Big touch screen. Blue tooth. Can program new modules or reprogram existing module. Module Data is available from internet (included in the package). Can code modules also(set parameters). Live data, bi-directional control for diag also. plus the usual other programs. To train tpms must purchase additional adapter. Love this scanner!
