Dark Chocolate Absolute Black 100% Cocoa 90g (Pack of 9)

This is a VERY H NO ADDED SUGAR, Fair Trade, certified organic. Excellent flavor and eco friendly packaging with NO PLASTIC. I put the cardboard wrapper into my compost bin and it breaks down into compost for my garden! Check out their nifty website - a fascinating adventure! The owners are working class British folks who created this company on their kitchen table. I cannot stress enough how delicious and healthy this fine chocolate is! Agave syrup, coconut dried sap, organic dark brown cane sugar WILL ROT YOUR TEETH and give you diabetes! Same for molasses, honey, high fructose corn syrup. There are microscopic levels of nutrition in all of these sweeteners. This is such fine chocolate NO sweetener is required and NO bitter taste I prefer to eat the whole cacao bean pod but IMPOSSIBLE to find good quality cacao bean pods that are not rancid, bitter and crap-ola. Erythiol is GMO - any sweetener ending in the suffix "ol" is artificially manufactured and will give you "The Trots" diahhrrhea! Monkfruit is highly processed and "GreenWashed" rubbish. IMHO the best sweetener to use at home is take organic, unsulphered dates, raisins, dried fruit and soak it overnight in purified water. Use an immersion stick blender or plain old blender with some water and whirl it around for a lovely sweetener for baked goods. Dates are fairly low glycemic and very high in fiber, micronutrients, macronutrients. Elevate your endorphin levels and buy this brand!

Since reading a Consumer Labs report on Montezuma Chocolate, we have purchased a total of 310 chocoate bars. This is an excellent product; and EPIC Co povided excellent customer service! When my chocolate came in with a date that "appeared" to be post expiration, I was concerned. In the UK, dates are presented day/month/year (ie.09/02/25 would translate into February ninth 2025) In the USA it is month/day/year; so, 09/02/25 would translate into September second 2025. With every shipment since 2020, the printed dates on packages were always the UK way but not this time. After contacting this vendor, we were informed that the 09/02/25 sticker (covering the printed date) currently conforms with the USA dating. Sure enough, when we removed the stickers, the printed date on the chocolate box was 02/09/25 which is UK for September 2, 2025. If I were to advise Montezuma, I would suggest they add "USA" to their dated stickers to eliminate confusion for their loyal customers in the USA. Regarding quality of this product: if you do the math you can see that this satisfied customer has spent ~$2000.00 on Montezuma chocloate since January of 2020! It is that good.

I've tried some high-end so-called baker's chocolates and most of them kind of tastes like chalk to me. This is the best of the best. Glad I bought nine bars. It took a long time for it to get here. Now I can still enjoy chocolate, reap any benefit the chocolate may or may not give to me, and not worry about the sugar.

Stale and out of date

Sugarless great dark chocolate I like to eat a a treat and alternate with dried dates teasing taste buds from bitter to sweet. Chocolate University mentions and favors this chocolate. It's hard to find 100% dark chocolate with no sugar added in stores. I'm grateful Amazon sells it. I keep ordering it as long as available.

Simply THE BEST CHObe COLATE for many reasons - it's DELICIOUS, SMOOTH & CREAMY, simple healthy ingredients, and most importantly, if you care about the fact that cocoa products are found to have a concerning amount of heavy metals (specifically cadmium & lead), Montezuma was tested by Consumer Lab (3rd party) to have among THE LOWEST HEAVY METALs of any chocolate bar they tested - it was VERY VERY LOW. Shipping was fairly quick, considering it's coming from outside the US.

Great company selling high quality chocolate. Excellent and responsive customer service. Do note that this is strong chocolate. It is not the sugar laced product many are used too. Try a small square and let it melt in your mouth. After a few days of that you could become an addicted fan like me.
