Chain tensioner for motorized bicycle.
This is a great tensioner. I would have liked instructions with the unit but the advertisement shows pictures of proper installation. I recommend to add lock nuts and luberican to the tensioner wheel to keep it able to move freely and also on the pivot bolt and nut with washer and lock washer to give it ability to move as needed.

Ride changer
Do yourself a favor and a favor for your loved ones. Change out the stock tensioner asap! Ask what happens when a stock tensioner fails and you'll understand. Great product and have used 1 on every build

Review, important need to knows, installation guide
All in all this is a great product and I do recommend it from the stock chain tensioner that comes with your motorized engine bike kit. I do wish the spring had more tension to it and that the screws/bolts werenโt made of aluminum because I have had one snap on me. Also for those who have higher cc engines or torque make sure your chain is tight before installation because when you do engage your clutch even slowly at high speeds the bottom of the Chain fully pulls on the tension wheel and if the chain is not tight enough will cause slack in the upper part of chain and cause your chain to lock up in your housing and will bring your tires to a dead stop or if your lucky will break your chain either way it would not be safe or fun The installation process is very simple even though it doesnโt come with any instructions it goes as follows: Step 1 The set up process is very simple I have found it easier to connect one side of the spring to the curved side of the mounting plate where the 2 small holes are (The top hole would have more tension then the bottom one) Step 2 Out of the 5 screws/bolts and 2 locking nuts and 2 washers that come with the tensioner use ONLY the small screw/bolt and locking nut to attach the tensioner arm to the mounting plate Step 3 Remove original screw from the housing cover and place tensioner plate over housing cover and use the 3 Similar screws/bolts to mount the tensioner plate on top of the housing cover and tighten in new screws Step 4 Take the biggest screw/bolt and add 1 washer then the chain tensioner wheel then the other washer then locking nut to any of the 4 large holes on the tensioner arm (IMPORTANT MAKE SURE THERE IS A WASHER ON BOTH SIDES ON THE TENSIONER WHEEL) Step 4 Connect spring from tensioner plate to tensioner arm

Good but will need work
Sturdy. Heavy gauge steel. Good powder coating. Well designed. Hence 3 stars. But if you're looking for an off the shelf solution, keep looking. Modifications needed to make this work: 1. Holes are all powder coated. Bolts don't fit without reaming the holes. 2. Pulley washers: no washers provided. If you tighten the bolt and nut to hold the pulley secure and level, the pulley will not spin. Must add your own washers. 3. Pivot washer: also not provided. If you tighten the pivot to keep it secure and straight it also will not pivot. Must add your own washers. 4. Non- locking nuts: none of the nuts will stay secure without lock-tite or lock nuts or split washers. With what it is intended for, it will shake itself apart in a matter of hours. None of these issues are huge but if you have all the tools and supplies to make this work, you could probably fabricate this bracket out of bits you have laying around in your shop.

Everything that could go wrong, DID
I never leave reviews. This is well deserved, bolts shown are Allen head, nuts shown are nylon lock nuts, what came is junk hex heads with regular nuts, the bolt that holds the wheel doesnโt even fit in the holes on the bracket. Spend the extra few dollars and a better brand

cheap hardware
everything fits good. my only problem is the cheap hardware. 1 bolt the threads all stripped off, and also the heads catch on my pedals. so i have to go to the hardware store and look for a couple better bolts. not a big issue. also the plastic roller wheel seems rather cheap, not sure how long its gonna hold up. for the price i guess it was worth it.

The best!
I struggled with many chain tensioners thinking ok i got it this time...? Dont kid yourself.. spring-loaded tensioners are the best solution for sure! The one thing I needed to do.. I grinded the bolt heads down about half.. so crank peddle can pass freely.. Use double nuts on the bolt harnessing flex part, to lock tight but still loose enough for tensioner to flex.. Thats it.. Works great!

Doesn't fit Goplus 80cc 2stroke motor
Love the idea, hate that I can't make it work.

I do not recommend
Not a good setup, when trying to start the bike the torque on the chain is opposite of tension side causing the chain to slack and bind up solid in housing. I had to remove this and go with standard tensioner that came with the kit. So this is useless to me not.
