Great fan
i couldn't find much information on "Tech Drive" after I'd already ordered this exhaust fan. I liked the reviews I'd read and it was an exact match to the existing hole in my ceiling. What I didn't account for was the jut out for the exhaust and the weight. I'm a relatively handy woman, but I quickly realized I'd have to hire someone. It took the installer 1.5 hours and I think he could've done it in 1 if he'd just come inside with everything he needed for the job and had asked me a question about the vent instead of spending 20 minutes searching for it. (Don't overpay. I had a couple ridiculous "minimum + hourly rate charge" quotes and could've paid 2-3x what I did). The licensed/insured company's handyman found it very simple to install from inside the attic. I was prepared with all the suggestions I'd learned from reviews, so that probably saved some time, too. The fan is so quiet you may forget to turn it off! Mine is a 5x9 bathroom and I purposely oversized the exhaust to eliminate humidity issues I was already having in my small house. It does an excellent job of clearing the steam during a shower and any residual steam on the mirror is gone within a few minutes! I'm very satisfied!

Super quite, but CFM might not be enough
This exhaust fan is super quite. Seems to pull only a fraction of the CFM my older noisy fan provided. Have no way to measure performance against advertised CFM. For as quite and low(er) CFM this one is, I wish I had gone a tiny bit more powerful/louder. Overall, the product seems great.

Nice and quiet!
When my original fan died, I based this purchase on reviews/cost/sone. Installation was a slight headache. The only drawback I have with this item is the 'flapper' slams, loudly. This model is so much quieter than what is in the other room, and removes the air particulate matter, quickly. Verify your clearances and get this unit!

Louder than advertised
Definitely not 0.3 sones. More like 1.3 sones. Much quieter than what it replaced, but Iโm sure there are quieter brands out there.

Crazy hard to install, but worth it once in. Super quiet
I love how quiet this thing is and how much air it moves. There is zero steam in the bathroom at the end of a long shower and it's so quiet I thought it wasn't working until I listened closely. Only downside is installation. I cannot begin to fathom why they put some of the external components on this where they did AND didn't make it easy to take them off without damage. However, I can say it makes this thing a beast to install. You CANNOT simply slide it up into a hole of the correct dimensions. the extrusions won't allow that and it was a mind bending unsolvable puzzle to me to figure out the angle to try to put it in there. I concluded you have to come in from the top...but extrusions may still be a problem...or more likely cut more drywall than you want. I finally hired a pro and got it installed. It was worth the money but he DID cut an additional hole that I had to patch shut. I don't know of any good way to get this thing in. I am reasonably handy. I have built my own fireplace mantal. I have installed Ikea cabinets. I have done kitchen and bathroom tile. I found this difficult. Get a pro to install if you don't know what you are doing. Worth it after. The thing is a dream once installed.

VERY QUIET!!!!
I've been looing for a quiet bathroom fan and finally this is it. It is little harder to install it than easy installation one, but it's still worth to put extra effort. Anyway, VERY QUIET!!!!

Need Attic Access
Great fan, super quiet. You really need attic access to install this. It was much larger than the one I replaced but was an easy install with access to the attic.

Very quiet
Replaced the original builder grade fan just because I hated how loud it was. The fan ways 7 lbs, so plan ahead and have a helper. It will require more support than the old one you remove. For a very experienced do it yourselfer or a pro, it will take about 2 hours. I needed attic access to install the bracket between my 24โ on center trusses, to move the blown in insulation , to replace the flex duct and because the duct connector wouldnโt snap back in to the top of the housing when installed from below. You very likely have 3โ flex and this requires a 4โ vent. I went up and moved the insulation out of the way. I disconnected and removed the old fan. Made the hole bigger, removed the duct connecter (2 screws) and hooked up the duct and the wiring from below. I pushed the duct connecter through the hole, then the fan. Screwed the fan housing to the joist, reattached the duct connecter then went up in the attic to install the bracket and rearrange the insulation. This fan is very quiet. Iโd recommend it.

Itโs very quiet.
Iโm very happy with this fan. Weโre still renovating so it has not been used on a regular basis, but it is very quiet and Iโm thinking of replacing my other fans because the noise level in comparison is significantly louder.

Works perfectly
Fan is really quite. My bathroom is only 60 sq feet. With door closed, fan on, there is litttle to no condensation on mirror after shower. Love it!!!!

Noisy
Not as quiet as advertised. Already installed and paid for the installation. Paying to get it removed and paying again to reinstall another fan is not worth it. Therefore too late to return. Not a happy customer
