Beemans Chewing Gum, 5 Sticks, 20 Count

Growing up in the 50s, I chewed this gum along with Blackjack, on a regular basis. Because it was white and was a non bubble gum, I could chew it in school without getting in trouble. Fast forward to the movie Right Stuff and Beemans being chewed by Chuck Yaeger brought back a wave of nostalgia. The problem was that I could not longer find it. Apparently the company stopped making it for lack of interest. But now it's back, at least every so often. It still tastes liked flavored cardboard and looses it's flavor within 2 minutes, but when I chew it I am 5 years old once again.

The first time I purchased this item, it was of good quality. The second time, forget it. It was so stale that when I unpacked each wrapper, the gum fell apart. I actually threw the entire box away. I won't buy this item again.

This was one of my favorites growing up. Okay, years ago - I still haven't grown up. :) Pepsin helps with digestion, but the flavor was what made this a favorite. Doesn't last terribly long, but it never did. Knowing what it was originally makes it easier to honestly review now. Quick shipping, exactly as described. Would buy again.

A little to brittle for it to be chewing gum

Taste disappears quickly, but on the plus side I don't chew the gum very long which is good for my teeth.

Don’t buy it if you are looking for real Beemans gum. This stuff is terrible and it tastes nothing like original Beemans gum. Only a few years ago I could find the real thing but can’t anymore. 1. The gum base ios plasticky and way off in texture. 2. The taste is not even close. 3. The after taste is terrible. Sorry folks but this is not at all like Beemans.

First taste was as good as I remember as a kid. Just wish the flavor lasted longer. If gifting suggest you only give one pack per person. Like a stocking stuffer or nostalgia gift on a place setting.
