I read some reviews where customers had a hard time with installing this part .My son had none it was spot on perfect ,Yes this part is made in china but the fit was as true as you can get ,if there is anything I can add is this Part was as original as the factory part .The price was awesome an an even came with a knew harmonic balancer seal an gasket plus the water pump gasket what a plus . Yes I watched my son the whole entire way doing this change out .Its great to spend time with my son watching him turn them wrenches Thanks Again for a great part

Was doing big service to my 93 5.0 bronco and found out that the timing cover was leaking due to some nasty cavitation, lucky for me I found this Dorman replacement. Now it's true that the casting isn't a total 1:1 of the original, this Dorman casting is a little shorter then the stock where it mates with the oil pan. All holes lined up perfectly and the quality seems very good. My new Gates water pump mated up no problem and was fully functional, no leaks or warpage. The fact I was able to overnight this part saved my weekend! Overall 4/5 due to the different dimensions but still a fantastic piece.

The item arrived as expected.

The part in the box doesn't match either the image on Amazon's site or the Dorman catalog. Where this matters is in the area around the water port on the driver's side. Here, especially at the corner closest to the center of the cover, the contour of the gasket surface doesn't match the gasket provided with either a Motorcraft or GMB water pump. The result is that in this area there is only about 1/16" of gasket actually compressed between the cover and the pump plate. I wound up filling the area with J-B Weld and milling it flat to get around the problem and avoid a leak. The part that came in the Dorman box is the EXACT SAME part that came in an Engine Quest box, marked with part number TC351F (same tooling marks; identical in every respect). It appears that the two companies are sharing tooling.

great fit, comes with all gaskets needed assuming you don't tear the oil pan gasket like I did. I just used Permatex Ultra black to refasten the torn pan gasket that wraps under the crank and to adhere the new gaskets to the block and cover.

Took a chance on this timing cover, and what a disappointment and waste of time and money, as another buyer described with the water pump not lining up on the driver side, the one I got I think was worse!!!! Water pump would not have been able to seal at all!!! water would have run out as fast as you could have ported in. BEING RETURNED 😡
