Review: 2003 Tahoe LT autoride - Perfect fit, easy install and my truck has a great stance now. I removed my factory 17 year old worn out springs and garbage air shocks (which I replaced 3 years ago and they’re shot again). Jacked the back of the truck up a little; removed both shocks and disconnected the sway bar links. Jacked the truck up higher. Pulled the springs out by hand. Placed the new springs in, lowered the truck down a little. Installed a set of Billstein 5100 shocks and bolted the sway bar links back up. Tucked away the air and electrical connections for the old air shocks. Lowered the Jack all the way down. Deleted the autoride by disconnecting the battery negative, pulling the RTD fuse and reconnecting the battery. I got a full two inches by doing this and now my 285/75/r16 (33”) tires look perfect. Stance is great. The ride is AMAZING. No more mushy bouncy ride. It’s not harsh at all, just firm. Handles great, on the road and in the woods. The ridiculous compressor doesn’t randomly kick on and I don’t get any lights on the dash- because I properly deleted autoride. No problema. Highly recommended. If you have a vehicle equipped with autoride and are afraid of it, don’t be.
Review: Wow! Ride and stability improved all around on my 2003 Suburban with 277,000 miles. - 2003 Suburban with 277,000 miles. Swapping shocks used to be all I needed to renew my ride, but the last time I did, the ride didn't improve at all. It was then that I realized that it may be time to change the rear springs. These are taller and thicker than stock, and I'm guessing that some of the height difference is due the age and miles on the stock springs. Boy has my ride improved. The rear had begun to sink and sag when going over dips in the road, and loading up with a full load of passengers and cargo produced a noticeable lowering in the rear. Not anymore. It seems more solid and stable than when it was new. Steering stability seems better, too. I didn't perform the swap, myself, though I understand from reading here that it is pretty simple. I have a mechanic that I trust, and he charged $90 labor for the install. I do perform most of my minor maintenance, but I could not afford the extra time that sometimes comes with complications, so I took the easy route. If you have over 150,000 miles on your big Chevy SUV, you might be pleasantly surprised how much your ride could improve by the cheap, simple upgrade.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I have a 2004 h2. I want moog compatible for rear. Will these work on the chassis?**
A: Absolutely, just installed these on my 2008 H2. Maintained the factory ride height much to my chagrin as I wanted to lower the rear a tad to gain clearance to enter my garage while still running the factory roof racks.

**Q: What is the difficulty rate on putting these springs on a 2003 chevy tahoe 4x4?**
A: Lift the rear at the frame on both sides until the tires hang, put floor jack under rear diff, remove tires, lower shock mounts, and lower swaybar mounts. Lower jack under rear diff and springs should slip on out without any issues.
I was able to put in new springs and 1 inch spacers on my '03 z71 Tahoe without the need of a spring compressor.
If you have any difficulty, put another floor jack under one side of your diff and lift it a little. This will cause the other side to drop a little more.
Make sure your springs are seated straight before jacking up center of your diff to reinstall shock and swaybar mounts.
Also recommend getting new spring isolators.

**Q: 2007 tahoe ltz. can these springs make my truck level if i have bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks in the front or will the rear be higher?**
A: Thank you for the question. The Moog 81069 is cataloged as a heavy duty replacement spring for this application. It may bring the ride height up slightly from the factory replacement spring.

**Q: Does this fit 09 gmc acadia slt rear?**
A: Don't believe so, Acadia built on a diff frame design. These are for tahoes and suburbans

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect fit and Moog quality
*by T***W on November 28, 2019*

Worked great. Installed these on the rear of my 2001 Chevy Tahoe, It had the zw7 smooth ride shocks and were wore out with 260 k miles. Rear end was starting to lean to the right and ride was horrible but I didn’t want to spend the outrageous price for the factory style shocks (nivomat). I did a little research and found these Moog springs and added a set of rear Bilstein shocks and worked perfect. Install was easy and the ride is great. It lifted the rear about 2 inches which gave it a slight rake but nothing dramatic but it’s also a 2wd so the front doesn’t sit as high as a 4x4 model. Will update how it does after I pull my boat next season but I suspect it will do just fine. Note: Amazon had the best price on the springs and Bistein shocks and shipping was super fast.
