A nostalgic candy with a great flavor.
I bought some of these candies awhile back and really liked them. I used to see them at "penny candy" stores years ago and about forgot the name of them. It wasn't until I looked up the name and then saw them sold on Amazon, that I had to get them again. They're a hard candy, small square shaped and purple in color. The flavor is really different but special. It's suppose to taste like the the actual flower essence of violets. I think it does.! I thought at first that maybe "Violets" is just a name for candy because of the purple color but flavored with Lavender(another flower used in desserts, also). Unfortunately, the flavoring is artificial according to the label, otherwise tastes great.! I maybe order some more again one day.

Nostalgic Violet Scent and Taste
Arrived well packaged. I could smell them through the plastic wrapping, that familiar scent that took me way back. Happy with my purchase.

HHHMMM!
I purchased again because I enjoy the violet scented flavor mint... However I don't think it's fair to post one price for a "3" pack, then turn around as soon as I purchased and post an even more economical deal of "6" pack for just $1.00 more.. on top of that this item wasn't available for return. Disappointed in the matter because had if displayed appropriately I would have gladly chosen the "6" pack for just a dollar more! Do better with posting deals please.

Reminds me of my childhood! LOVE IT!
Taste just like I remembered them. I LOVE these. An old friend of my family would give them to me when I was little and I really liked them. When I got a little older I would go to the store and buy them for myself. I remember in middle school I would buy these and the kids in school always would ask for stuff that you buy. But that was the only candy that no one asked for cause they didn't like the taste, so it became my favorite. We recently moved to Puerto Rico and I haven't been able to find them anywhere. So thank you Amazon! I only gave it 4 stars because I do believe it is a bit pricey they cost a $1 for each, when you buy it at the store. But other than that it's fine.

Do yourself favor: don't!
If I could give these minus stars I would. They taste nothing like violets.they smell great but to me tastes like bad bug spray smells.

Absolutely delectable!
I love all things violet-flavored and floral flavors in general, so when I saw these (in the recommended when purchasing another brand and type of violet mints I like), I had to try them. Superficially speaking, the packaging/wrapper design is beautiful, and delightfully 'retro'. The fragrance and taste of these mints is simply fantastic, and I most appreciate its strength/intensity--whereas with Parma Violets (their British counterpart, more-or-less) the flavor is very subtle and sort of muted, these have a wonderfully potent flavor with strongly vegetal undertones. Not to give the wrong impression (as this may not sound appealing at first, but it is, trust me), but with these it's almost like you can taste a hint of the green stems/leaves/foliage of the violets as well as the flower itself. I prefer strong, sharp, bold flavors in anything edible (I suspect I'm a bit of a "nontaster", with less taste perception than average), so these mints are perfect for me. The sole glaring downside, honestly, is the price. They're rather expensive for what they are and how many you get (only 15 per roll, and they're small and dissolve rapidly). Since I enjoy them so much, I'm going to see if I can find them cheaper and/or in bulk elsewhere, as I go through them so quickly.
