It's not as high of a dome as the pyrex glass lid dome that came with the dutch oven , but it has the self basting nubs in it. I think it much improves the dutch ovens performance. **Q: I dont have a lodge pan ..instead a vintage cast iron pan ... its stamped on the bottom #10 12 7/16 inches... what is the exact size of the lid?** A: The "ridge" that is on the bottom of the lid is from outside to outside 11 5/8 . The ridge is 1/8 in. The diam of the lid is 12 1/8. The "ridge' is approx. 3/16 in from the edge of the lid **Q: where it made?** A: The lid is exactly like the picture and has the Lodge logo on the top, and 10 and 1/4" 8 on the inside. There is nothing else on the lid. Lodge cast iron is made in Tennessee, USA and I believe this is sturdy enough to warrant that. **Q: Will this fit a Lodge 10 1/2" frying pan?** A: I do not have a Lodge 10 1/2" frying pan, however I do have a #8 10 1/2 inch cast iron fry pan and the lid fits perfectly. Needs further seasoning if going to cook with (non-acidic!) liquids in your pan as the condensation/steam will effect the underside of the lid.
