Chiavetta USB Samsung 256Gb, ottimo prodotto
Ho preso due di queste chiavette Samsung, nella versione da 256Gb. Ottimo prodotto, molto veloce sia in lettura che in scrittura, ma chiaramente dipende anche dalle specifiche del PC usato. Piccole dimensioni, per niente ingombranti. Tutta in metallo, dà una notevole sensazione di robustezza. Ho letto che alcuni si lamentano del fatto che scaldi molto: è vero, scalda un po’, ma è perfettamente normale che una chiavetta si scaldi moderatamente mentre “lavora”; semplicemente in questa te ne rendi conto di più perché è tutta in metallo, e il metallo si sa che conduce il calore, a differenza dell’involucro esterno in plastica di chiavette di altro tipo. Anzi, probabilmente, il fatto che dissipi più velocemente di altre il calore verso l’esterno, è solo un bene perché permette alla chiavetta di raffreddarsi prima internamente. Avrei gradito la presenza di un led luminoso per segnalare l’operatività della chiavetta, ma è un dettaglio trascurabile. Spedizione Amazon sempre impeccabile, veloce, molto comodo il ritiro col sistema degli Amazon Locker, ne ho uno proprio a 500mt da casa. Di default è formattata con file system in exFat, che la rende compatibile in lettura e scrittura sia con Windows che Mac OS X. Io però ho preferito, prima di usarla per la prima volta, formattarla in NTFS: perde la compatibilità con MAC OS X in scrittura (rimane in lettura), ma io non uso tale sistema operativo, quindi per me non è importante. Di contro NTFS integra l’utilizzo di un meccanismo che tiene traccia delle modifiche apportate al file system, per me importante: se un’operazione venisse interrotta a metà (ad esempio in seguito alla mancanza di energia elettrica), NTFS perde solo tale operazione evitando però che venga compromessa l’integrità del file system. Il file system, poi, consente l’assegnazione di permessi a file e directory e supporta la crittografia. In ambiente Windows sono entrambi compatibili da Xp in poi. È vero che exFAT è leggermente più veloce in caso di unità esterne collegate tramite USB (proprio come nel caso di chiavette USB) quando si devono gestire file di grandi dimensioni (per esempio giochi installati su unità esterna USB), mentre NTFS è più veloce per i file di piccole dimensioni e con i dischi interni (caso in cui richiede l’impegno di meno risorse di sistema), ma per tutte le altre caratteristiche dette sopra, e per alcune altre, io comunque preferisco NTFS, che per le mie esigenze è il compromesso migliore.
