Perfect fit for mustang
Bought for my 2011 Mustang GT, worked perfect paired with my RTR shift knob. This is also threaded on a MGW short shifter. Well worth the money. Quality was perfect

Perfect for 2005 Tacoma
Looks clean and fits perfect!! This fit perfect on my 2005 Toyota Tacoma. I ordered a TRD shift knob and it came with a tightening nut that I did not want to use because it wouldn’t have looked so clean. This thing screwed right into the shift rod and allowed me tighten the shift knob without using the provided nut. Please see photo for it. The item appears to be made of metal and seems very durable. Installation was easy. Removed the old boot plastic ring retainer and wrapped the end of boot around the indent on this adapter (as seen in photos) and then used a small zip tie to secure it. Installed in 5 minutes

Perfect for 2010 Ford Focus SE
My original knob shifter deteriorated in the FL heat, got a glow-in-the-dark knob a couple years ago but always hated the exposed threads beneath it and the skinny shift stick showing. Randomly came across this adapter while looking for other car accessories and it fits exactly as I’d hoped! There was a slight gap between the top of the adapter and the knob, but I just drilled into the knob with a carbide burr and smoothed it out with a spherical rotary bit. If you have a similar knob off Amazon, you may have to alter it slightly to deepen the original hole, but it’s a simple fix. Now the knob sits flush with the adapter, and the threading fits tight. No more loose, wiggly shifting! Very pleased with this one 🚗 💨

It Works, get it
No more gap from aftermarket shift knob and boot. The boot doesn’t go over the bottom part of retainer to make it a full fit but does remove the gap and you cant tell is not connected. The boot might fit over if i take boot off and modify it but not something i want to do. It works for what i got it for.

What car does it fit?
Because it does not fit the gear shift for a 2012 Kia Fortè...

Did not fit 2010 wrx shift boot
Had to make some modifications with my belt sander to taper and take down the lip , my shift boot would not fit up over the lip, shift boot opening is about 20mm and the lip is 25mm + Might be easier to spend an extra 5-10 bucks on a brand name retainer if you dont have tools or time to make it work Id say overall for $10 it was a good product just keep in mind that you may have to make modifications to fit
