Meguiar's Professional M105 Ultra-Cut Compound, 1gal

I use this with a 7.5" wool pad and a rotary polisher. This is the only professional grade compound that I have used, but it blows the consumer stuff away. Two passes and it gives chaulky gel coat a base/clear sheen. I honestly struggle to imrove upon the results by following it with polishes and swirl removers. If a car is any color other than black, you could do the whole car in 3 hours with this single step.

Nothing even competes with this product. I have been detailing cars since 1983 and this product beats out everything I have ever tried. Leaves no swirls and no need to use any other steps. Leaves a perfect finish even on black cars!

Pros: It cuts really well - for deep scratches it will take a few passes. Ideal for a wool pad with rotary buffer or orbital polisher with a gray heavy cut pad. Cons: Extremely dusty and messy! Creates a chalky residue when used. Clean up takes awhile, even after pressuring washing the vehicle after use. Huge con for detailing shops. After using up a gallon at my shop, I’m going to make the switch to Menzerna products. Although Menzerna products are about double the price, it offers a no dust, no silicone formula and results in more gloss. In addition, Menzerna heavy cut products require less product than meguiars 105 to do the same job, so the cost evens out. Plus, the easy clean up saves time and energy.

Works Amazing, Quality Product. Be Sure to use Meguiar's M205 to take out the swirl marks this causes however (as to be expected in a cutting compound). Use it as a professional auto detailer in my shop for 2 stage polishing

I’ve been using Meguiars products for at least forty years now. There’s a lot of good stuff out there nowadays but I still like Meguiars the best.

I am using this with a PORTER-CABLE 7424XP and Meguire pads to buff and polish my new single stage black paint. Takes out 1500 and 2000 grit scratches no problem! You can use this w/o gong to a finer polish it finishes out so nice..

I detail fresh paint and old worn finishes, and this is the shizz for any application.....breaks down nicely as you work it. Fast cut, easy cleanup....unbeatable price.

Does exactly what it says on the tin, or in this case container. May seem expensive but you get what you pay for. Don't think I can throw anymore one liners in this....

I did epoxy countertop and used this to remove small scratches in the epoxy countertop as we don't do food prep directly on countertops. Removed every scratch and made countertop shine lol, so looking forward to using this on the car next summer :]
