Detail is pretty amazing
So far so great! Tamiya is best in class. For this particular kit I was not sure which one I was getting from the listing, but it’s the 60325 variant from Tamiya. I took some pictures of the pilot cause I was having a hard time finding the dimensions for myself. They stand about 2 inches tall if you were wondering. Excellent price for this kit through this buyer and it came very fast from Japan. The packaging was very thin but it arrived unharmed and sealed so it worked getting to me. I have a group build starting on August first so more to come. I will post some more after I finish the build but I’m planning to be done by December so nothing too quick. Haha. Leescreativeart at IG if you want to see updates and the build process. Mine will be super creative and I’m not making a historically accurate build. Just an fyi.

The best there is!!!
WOW!!!! This is the most detailed, and quality model I've ever dealt with. I'm going to take my time with this one, and pay attention to all the details. When done, this should be museum quality. I am super impressed!!!!

" Yes Tamiya is that good. Pretty much if the real thing has it
If you are a builder of models you know the reputation that is Tamiya. As they say in the modeling world, "With a Tamiya kit all you have to do is open the box, throw in the glue and paint and shake the box and the model is done." Yes Tamiya is that good. Pretty much if the real thing has it, then Tamiya puts it on its models. Yes, its does help if you have been building models for a few years before you tackle a Tamiya model, Tamiya is the standard of models that other companies strive for. There are several companies that are near the quality of Tamiya. But you will pay for the high standard and the detail that comes from Tamiya. The F4U-1 model is a beautiful model that one can build straight out of the box with no aftermarket anything and you will get a great looking model. The parts are clean, the casting is beautiful. Tamiya gives you several options, folded wings, open or closed cockpit, inflight stand, flaps either up or down, cowling flaps, open or closed. There are several different markings provided, and a check online shows a host of others should you not like what is provided. There are numerous aftermarket detail kits out there as well. It just depends on how much money you want to spend. If you have the money and are looking for great build then THIS is the one to get. Its not small once you build it, just make sure you have the space ready for once you do.

Positive Comments here made me Purchase this Model Kit...!!!
Due to the Positive Comments from all the Good Folks that have purchased this A/C Model here on Amazon, I just had to Have and Built one of these F4U-1A Aircraft. I Believe that this is one of the Aircraft that was on one of the 3 Aircraft-Carriers that my Dad Served on during WW2. I had a Division Officer while I was in the Navy, during the Vietnam War era, that had flown this type Aircraft during his 30 yrs in the Navy.. I'm Really Looking forward to Building this Model Kit... I'll try to comment on "The Fun" that I'll be having while Building this Super Quality Model of the F4U-!A WW2 Navy Aircraft. I just received the kit 33 days earlier than promised too and Wow...It surely is an Awesome looking Build. Looking forward to constructing and Enjoying every moment of it. It Really is Amazingly built well. Well worth the $$$. Don't be afraid of purchasing one for yourself.

Great kit from Tamiya.
Highly detailed kit - not for beginners. Tamiya quality as you would expect - good details and very well engineered pieces. Took me close to 4 weeks to complete but could have taken a longer time if I had more patience. Tons of YouTube videos about this kit - highly recommended. The only thing that I didn't like was the decals. Tamiya decals are a bit thicker so need to apply more decal softener. One can also see the edges of the decals and that causes unnatural look.

Tamiya's decals are awful and anyone plopping down $100 for a kit should expect better. Don't even consider using the kit decals
Tamiya does it again with their 1/32 series of WW2 fighters. Somehow this kit even surpasses the superb P-51D. This kit is probably not for those new to the hobby or still mastering basic modeling skills; however, fit and engineering is second to none, and if you can navigate the intricate build process you can build this. kit. The only negative to this kit, which is shared with all Tamiya kits, are the horrendous decals. Frankly, Tamiya's decals are awful and anyone plopping down $100 for a kit should expect better. Don't even consider using the kit decals. Invest in an aftermarket set and you'll be much happier.

Model just arrived and busy looking at what you get for £85. It would seem the answer is "quite a lot". For a 1:32 model the box is huge and literally filled with frame after frame of incredibly detailed parts. These include photo etched as well as stencils and canopy masks. The instruction manual is equally huge and contains a wealth of information about the plane and the model. It also includes colour pictures showing the paint scheme as well as real life pictures of an actual plane so you know what the finished model should look like when it is painted. All in all I am in somewhat of a state of shock. I have never encountered such detail in a model and only hope I can do it justice. The next few nights will be spent studying the instructions and sorting out paints etc. I would think there are several weeks if not months of work ahead of me and I cant wait to get started. My wife thinks I am completely crazy but what's wrong with being a big kid?

Pues eso. Una maqueta MUY buena, aunque no es para principiantes, sobre todo por el número de piezas y de pasos a seguir. Con el Mustang y el Spitfire, probablemente las mejores maquetas de Tamiya.
