### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great companion volume to the TV series

This is a great single companion volume to the Game of Thrones TV series, features everything you could want to know about the setting, principle characters, over arching storylines and specific episodes.The amount of text to illustration and photographs is proportionate, not too much of one or the other and its an easy read, especially for a fan. All the pictures/stills from the series are great to appreciate as stand alone pieces or as prompts to recollections of the series. If you are an artist or fantasy sketcher it is a good visual reference guide or reference.If you have not seen any of the series episodes there is content here which could be considered a spoiler, I guess that you could appreciate this if you have not seen the TV series (or intend to) and it could have an appeal for the fans of the novels (although I know that there are some very critical fans out there who do not think the TV series really captured the vision they had upon reading the source material). I like that there is a single volume covering the entire series as I did not buy the separate volumes for each season as some did. It does not make up for the rather lack luster finish which has been much discussed to the TV series and it does not contain any previously unknown or unseen content which could have redeemed it, which is not surprising and would have been a big ask anyway of a single companion book.
