Cardo Packtalk Bold Motorcycle Bluetooth Communication System Headset - Single Pack, Black : desertcart.co.uk: Everything Else Review: Good units - Bough these to replace older Scala units, just need them for satnav and intercom, good job I don't need them for the radio function. The speaker leads are so long that you need to fold the speaker cable in half to tuck it away in the head liner, and of course the headphone cable is also the FM aerial, so useless as the aerial is not functional. Why cant someone get a DAB radio installed using the external part as the aerial? Cars have DAB radios fitted and in a few years FM will be disbanded similar to analogue TV aerial, so if you do use the FM radio function, this will be going very soon. Happy with the units, my older Scala had a screw fitting to attache the unit to the helmet, 2 plastic jaws and tightened with 2 small allan bolts, these units have a U clamp, but having said that when you slide the clamp between the helmet and liner it is very tight and I have bee at high speeds with this on and has not moved at all, so very happy about that. Intercoms' are very good, very good range, very clear at speed over 100moh, very clear, very happy. Good power holding, have used the intercoms' for over 8 hours on and off one day, looked at the mobile app and still have over 60% of power left, very impressed. Easy to set up my Android phone and TomTom satnav, no issues at all. Bit pricey but you get what you pay for, so all in all very happy apart from the FM radio function. Review: Now I've got to listen to the drivel my pals are spouting! - This product is excellent! The sound quality is so good and the functionality is brilliant! It is so easy to set up for group rides, it cuts out the noise of your mates antisocial pipes, you can listen to music and satnav with no issues. You can mute that one idiot that can't shut up, speak to your wife whilst pretending you're not out for a hoon with the lads and it cancels all other noise! The unit does not cancel out wind noise or the sound of your own bike however. The range is not quite as far as advertised, but I've not tried to daisy chain more than 3 riders. A mate has one of those trendy full face but visorless helmets, if one of your mates turns up with one, tell him to go back home and put a proper lid on, the wind noise is ridiculous! Or just mute him like I do and use finger gestures :D The voice commands are hit and miss for my mate, but he has still failed to grasp the Queens/Kings English as he's from Cumbria, I on the other hand have had no issues! There are plenty of useful commands and I rarely have to physically touch the unit whilst riding. The buttons are quite small and it's virtually impossible to turn the unit on in winter gloves once you are on the move. Apart from the few niggles, a great piece of kit.

Great product (kinda)
Overall I am impressed with the cardo pactalk slim JBL edition, compared to other speaker systems for motorbike helmets this has an unreal sound quality, it doesn't ring and buzz at all which is fantastic. The speakers themselves don't impact my ability to put on the helmet either when I wear a balaklava. If I don't it tends to roll the ears a bit but it can be easily rectified with a bit of a twisting motion to pull the ears loose. As for the quality, it doesn't fidget, the tight fit into the helmet is really good. It sits flush to the bottom left rim and the battery is at the back attached in a similar fashion so no issues there. The mesh network communication is clear and long. Moment you have too many bends between you and the other rider though you tend to lose a bit of connectivity, however it automatically comes back when they get in range again. On the straight you can easily get about 800m range which is fantastic. Where I found the issues was with the charge port. After charging the unit about 10 times the charge port came loose and the unit stopped charging. I tried again with a different charger and the port came out completely, seeing the inside of it, the port seems to be attached by very little solder, so if your charger doesn't go in and out smoothly you may find yourself with the same issue. As a workaround I have put in a magnetic charger and I simply leave it in. I am also very careful on pulling out the cable. Amazon have sent a replacement and haven't had issues since. But fantastic unit for sound quality.

Best unit they’ve made yet, and sound is leaps and bounds better!
I’ve wanted this for ages for the DMC and voice activation, the system works faultlessly via voice controls while on the bike, sound is more defined and generally a pleasure to have in my lid. I have a Shuberth C3 Pro, which means I had to use the sticky mount....... Easy! Clean mounting point with the alcohol wipe and slap it on! I did leave it overnight before attaching the unit and trying out on the bike. A 2nd sticky mount would have been handy as I had to mount quite far back to clear the internal sun visor mechanism, but wants on you never have to touch the unit, the voice activation is that good! 👍 Have it paired via Bluetooth with an older G4 for the missis lid, pairing was easy and intuitive. All in all a great of kit for music, satnav and the intercom

I just invested in my first full face helmet and bought this comm unit to go with it, thanks to a friends advice. I am using it with an Iphone 12 and it works great. I can hear my music very well and clear. I can use siri and Cardo's own voice commands very easily up too 120 kph where then my helmet gets a bit of wind noise. Then it still works half of the time. Those people hear complaining about it being too quiet should check their phones settings first. My iPhone was initially limited so it was too quiet until I fixed that in the settings. Anyway, very happy with this purchase,
