Q: How fine/course is this?

it is not coarse little round balls all i can say for me it is fine enough to add to my bread making or as a cereal mix it is quite versatile and it is good for you

Q: Can these be microwaved or do they have to be cooked for some time on a stove?

i have only used them to add to bread recipes but grains are so small they wont take long to cook anyway i suppose you could microwave as long as you add enough liquid i cup and 2 cups liquid stir half way experiment go on great for your health iuse other kind oats for breakfast
