Nice N Easy, Med Ash Blonde 8A, 1 Count

I've been coloring my roots for years with never an issue of an red itchy scalp until about 5 years ago. After an allergy test by my dermatologist, it showed I'm allergic to p-Phenylenediame, an ingredient in pretty much all hair coloring products. However if I take benadryl for a couple days before and color my hair, my scalp isn't red & only a little itchy. I went to Whole Foods (organic grocer) because I figured maybe their brand would be all natural without this ingredient. I was surprised to learn their natural/organic brand contained p-Phenylenediame. One day by accident I found this Clairol Nice & Easy in my shade with ALLERGY GENTLE MOLECULE. I colored my roots with zero itching. The weird part of this packaging is that this Molecule is indicated on the side of the box. Had I not picked up this box to read the ingredients, I wouldn't have seen that it contained this Molecule. This is information that should be indicated on the front of the box~! So many times I myself have gone straight across the shelves just looking for my shade as many others have as well. This was the best color, no itching so I go to order more of it and NO WHERE DOES IT INDICATE UNDER DESCRIPTION OF THIS MOLECULE. The model on the front of the box is the same as online with my shade but I'm not comfortable ordering it because it doesn't indicate this molecule. Come on Clairol, please correct your packaging. There are many woman with allergies to hair color. I truly hope this review helps woman with allergies to try it.

This was used exactly as the instructions stated. The texture of the hair post coloring is superb. The color did NOT COME OUT AS BLOND per pictured on the box. I have to say the color was medium brown. Now I'll have to try another shade since I've been trying to maintain my nature but now graying blond color for years.

If you are naturally dark, it will be a very fancy chocolate color after using this one. Not as shallow as the picture. Big surprise!
