I use this for terrarium building. It works well for drainage and the color is nice. Overall good quality and I think it’s a good value for the money.

I have a lot of tropical plants that need well draining soil to avoid root rot. This may technically be soil cover, but it works great (along with some perlite and orchid bark) to make the soil better aerated, and it’s affordable enough that I can use a heavier hand, for the benefit of my plants. Consistency is great, quality is great, little else to say — I’m a repeat customer and will continue to be.

A couple of my plants started getting lots of little bugs recently and I found out that they like to lay eggs in the moist soil, so one suggestion was to put a layer of sand on top of the soil because it dries faster and then the bugs supposedly can't lay their eggs, breaking the life cycle. I figured I would just give it a try and so far, so good! It took a few days but the bugs have greatly diminished. I was wondering why I still had some though and realized that since they couldn't access from the top, they were going through the holes in the bottom of my pot! I ended up putting sand in a dish and putting my pot of top of the that, and that seemed to have solved the problem because they no longer have access. I never thought I would pay money for sand, but I think the price is definitely worth the quick and easy fix it provided for my plants!

Honestly what can you really say about this? It’s sand lol. It was a really good deal for the amount I received. I put it on top of/in the soil of my potted plants to make them look a little nicer, acclimate the soil more to their needs, and to keep the water from evaporating so quickly. It works well and looks nice. Highly recommend for gardeners looking to give their plants a lil makeover.

Received bag inside an in-tact box. Bag had a hole in it and, by weight, just over 1/2 lb. was lost in shipping. UPS driver even commented about the sand spill in her truck. Good product, but a bit more QC needs to be implemented to prevent this type of issue. With a loss of product from the bag, the value of this item is significantly decreased.

Not worth the price, I impulse purchased it, I guess for me it just wasn't enough sand - plus I realized later there is less expensive sand at the hardware store. But it was nice sand anyways just a bit steep $ imo
