I purchased 75lb for a Step 2 sandbox (holds up to 200lb of sand) and I just ordered another 75! 100lb would be sufficient for the sandbox, but I ordered some more because my daughter tends to lose a lot out the sides of the box. Regarding those who said it was dusty, I will say that it does produce dust while playing. However, while the hardware store sand dust floated all over the place and stayed in the air for a long time, this sand settles much more quickly and does not produce anywhere near the total amount of dust. I love the way it sparkles in the sun!

The sand is a glistening white - looks like it comes from a tropical beach - it's not biege/gray, it's white and sparkles in the sun. It molds perfectly when water is added for making sand castles and handforms. When it dries it goes back to its original state which is white, dust free, clean and environmentally safe. There were no signs of any bugs at all in the sand - and we are now into using it for 6 full weeks (leave the sandbox outside covered with its snap cap) and it is the BEST EVER! I will be purchasing another box in the spring so we can 'refill' as needed. It is my three year old granddaughter's FAVORITE activity. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SANDTASTIK sand - it's the best out there!

**Q: Can anyone tell me what 25 pounds of this looks like? For example, how many shoe boxes would it fill? Or how much of a 4-leg sand table would it fill?**
A: I also have a 4-leg Sand table about 2 ft wide and 3 ft long.   The 25 lb bag filled it up less than 2 inches high.   The sand is really great, feels wonderful and doesn't stick to the kids.  But, I feel that the expense was too much to have toddlers throwing it is the grass.

**Q: Is this silica free?**
A: Yes it absolutely is silica free.  It's a good product and very safe.

**Q: Would one box fit inside the step 2 crabbie sand table**
A: If you look up the Step 2 Crabbie on Amazon the specs say 
"Holds up to 25 lbs. (11.34 kg) of sand"

I agree you would not need to buy this quality sand for an outdoor tray for little kids. You can go get builder's sand at a home improvement store or even if you want to be "sanitized" products go with a cheaper option. The main thing for this purpose would be to keep the lid on when not in use so you don't have to clean out bugs, twigs, etc.

I use this product for Sandtray Therapy. It's a finer texture and clings better than builder's sand, which you want for sandtray, to sculpt and or add water and have it hold its shape. This does mean it's a little dusty.

**Q: When the sand is poured, i.e. from one sand bucket into another, does dust fly up into the air that could be inhaled?**
A: A small amount of dust does occur.  I suggest finding a recipe where you add mineral oil and create a dustless sand. It also clumps together.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sparkly!

This sand is unbelievably soft, white, and sparkly! So much fun for toddlers to play with, and run fingers and toes through. Ours was very clean, unlike some that mentioned bugs. My only problem was with the packaging. Four of the eight boxes had gotten crushed a bit in transit; and the plastic bags containing the sand are so thin, that holes are made when you touch them lightly. Quite a bit of sand had been lost in transit, but Amazon compensated me for the loss quickly. I would buy again because the sand is so beautiful and safe from carcinogens, unlike the cheap sand at the big box stores.
