Prevents my head from feeling like it will explode! *by M***N on July 16, 2023* If you have any pain or discomfort in your ears when you fly, you need these. Taking Sudafed ahead of the flight/landing helps me some but Earplanes is the only thing that works completely and reliably. Plus I prefer to avoid medicine if possible. I have been using these for years and the latest version seems to work even better, are more comfortable, and easier to get in my ears. Without these my head feels like it’s going to explode during landing. I always make sure I have a stash in case I need to take an impromptu flight. They really muffle noise so it’s annoying trying to hear others or music/tv. Because of this I end up taking them out on longer flights after we get to cruising altitude and then I keep an eye on the time so that I put them back in an hour before landing per the instructions. For flights 3 hours or less, I keep them in for the whole flight. Before you insert the Earplanes, make sure to pinch your nose and blow in case your ears need popping.
