Wow, this is a great backpack!
Recently, there was a natural disaster where I live that came on suddenly. I wasn't prepared at all. I needed to leave my house with essentials, including my laptop, phone, clothes, a cpap machine, toiletries, and a few food items. However, I didn't have a proper bag for any of this stuff. I had to use plastic grocery bags, which were less than ideal. Having this sudden emergency made me realize I needed a good bag to throw everything in. I needed a bag that could hold a variety of items and made from durable, sturdy materials. I didn't want a thin bag or one that could crumple up. I got this Kroser backpack for that purpose and I think it was a fantastic choice. This bag has multiple compartments of various sizes. Starting with the outermost zippered compartment, it's large enough to hold notebooks or pads of paper, and has an additional pocket inside. The next zippered compartment is a little bit larger, and has several organizational features to hold pens, cards (including RFID protection) and an internal mesh zippered pocket. After that comes the biggest zippered compartment. This one is a great place to put clothes or food. It's deep and has a large internal pocket as well as a mesh internal pocket on the side. On the top by the handle there is a zippered hardshell compartment designed to store and protect sunglasses. The zippered laptop compartment is large and has a pocket for a laptop, and an additional pocket for a tablet, smaller laptop, or keyboard. Devices in these pockets are secured with a velcro strap. There is also an internal zippered pocket in this area. Both sides of the bag have zippered compartments and mesh pockets to hold water bottles. These hold my 24oz Takeya bottle securely. There is a USB port on one side with an internal USB cable. You can connect the cable to a power bank inside the bag while plugging your device into the external USB port. The straps are padded and comfortable. The back of the bag has padded sections, a luggage strap, and another zippered compartment at the bottom. There was a combination zipper lock included. Overall, this is an amazing bag for $40 and I highly recommend it.

Great Backpack
I usually by Swissgear backpacks as I need the durability. I travel a lot and I go thru a backpack about one every year. I need one that is super durable and comfortable for traveling. I also need one to handle all my stuff (laptop, extra screen, cables, office supplies, power strip, travel wallet, power supply, extra battery, etc...). This one has the space and quality I needed at the right price. It also has a cross strap which helps with travel. It has a lot of good functionality and smaller compartments for cables, power supply, ear phones, sun glasses, etc. Overall, I am super happy with it.

A 1st class moderately large backpack at a great price
What an absolute bargain! Attractive and functional. I have reviewed dozens of backpacks of moderate to large size and none come close to what this Kroser offers for the price. Stitching heavy duty. Outstanding construction starting with a sturdy padded thick nylon handle on the top PLUS a 1/4" plastic covered wire cable attached end-to-end with ferrous metal end pieces with a rivet into the thick nylon fabric. I counted 10 pockets inside and two on the outside for tall water bottles that likely won't dislodge easily. 2 compression straps to restrain the backpack snug under the Airline seat. The shoulder straps are wonderfully padded, well-padded back part for added protection. Chest strap too. I haven't filled it yet, but I did put in several paperback books, my 9-10" iPad, some wood flutes in their fleece case and my iPhone into an inside pocket connected to my solar power pack via the built-in USB power connector. There's still plenty of room to put in toiletries, shirts, shorts swimsuit, underwear, and maybe even some sandals. It also came with a small three digit combo lock that's not much help if the whole pack is stolen. It's the thought that counts. I do believe that this gem will last a long time and I highly recommend it. The price point was amazing compared to some of the higher brand names advertised. It is made in China, but it's got to be in the top 1-2% of Backpacks that come from Asian sources. Disclaimer: I received no compensation for this honest review. If you are a small frame person, it would probably be too large, but it sure holds a lot. I'm 5'9" and about 175#. Looks: Great Why did you pick this product vs others?: Size and roominess, fabric and construction quality, sturdy handle, comfortable, shoulder straps, etc. Waterproof: Yes Rip resistance: Yes Travelability: Yes Straps: Wide and padded Organization: Lots of pockets, lined

not bad, not perfect
I bought this backpack after a lot of deliberation, to replace a previous one from a different brand that I immediately disliked, and which started falling apart immediately as well. By comparison, this one is obviously much better (a low bar, but I do like it overall). The biggest issue is the laptop compartment itself, though - it fits my large laptop fine, and it does fit fairly snugly in the sleeve, making it easy to carry around with you, however the sleeve itself feels kinda flimsy, and it just barely fits around the top, too, so I'd be a lot more worried about damaging it if it got dropped wrong, than I have been with some other laptop travel backpacks I've used (sadly, my favorite one doesn't quite fit the new, slightly larger than 17.1 inch screen laptops they're making these days). Still better than nothing, though, obviously, and it'd be fine on a plane, I'm just a little more cautious when I get to the hotel and haven't unpacked yet. It's padded, just not *very* padded (and no padding for the top). Unfortunately, I didn't really see any that were much *more* padded, either. (At least none that still fit large laptops like mine - and this one does, if barely.) In terms of space, though, overall this wins. I do miss how my previous backpack had two decent sized "primary" compartments, the one with the laptop compartment, and another separate one, that were both pretty big. This one has the laptop compartment that's exactly the right size for a laptop, then one enormous compartment, and two much smaller ones. That's a pretty minor complaint, though. The smallest compartment has a pouch for a tablet (or just two separated spaces for your small items), the second, slightly larger smaller compartment has a bunch more separated small pouches inside (including one with an internal zipper). then the main compartment accordions out a big, so it can fit a decent sized package, or more clothing than you'd expect from a backpack this size. But I've also flown with it and not had a problem getting it under the seat. (Only the main compartment is particularly useful for filling with clothes, though. The other two are clearly designed more for pills, keys, paperbacks, small electronics, etc.) There are also two small zippered pockets on the side, and a third on the top. The one on the top contains a *removable* hard internal pouch for holding a pair of sunglasses - I was actually going to complain about it (it gets in the way, if you aren't using the space for sunglasses)... until I looked at it again just now, and yeah, completely removeable. (I use it for coins and things, since it's the easiest to access.) Each side also has a small outer mesh pouch, which looks like you'd use it for holding things like water bottles, but I can't stress enough, they aren't large enough for full-sized water bottles to fit comfortably without falling out - my only other real complaint about the backpack. The main compartment does also have a space for plugging in a usb power bank (it doesn't *contain* one, you can just plug one in.) Then you can plug your own usb cable into the outside, and charge a phone that way. It's kind of a neat feature, though I don't really use it much. Works fine, though. It does fit comfortably on my back, with a decent amount of padding - we finally went on the Alaska cruise we booked in 2019, a couple months ago, I took it all over Alaska for a couple weeks, I can say, it's a lot more comfortable than my previous backpack. Feels a lot sturdier, too, though I haven't had it for a terribly long time, yet. I just wish I could find one like this, just slightly more padding for the laptop pouch. Overall, I'm happy with it, though - way happier than my previous one, though admittedly that's a low bar.

Great quality and details make this an indispensable backpack
Sturdy, lots of room, holds up well through all sorts of international travel. I especially love the large middle section where I can pack everything I need for an overnight stay+ in it. Three other features that are dealmakers for me: the zippered security pouch in the back and the comfortable, durable shoulder straps; the good quality material - no rips, tears or worn spots even after long rough trips when I've heavily loaded it; and the over-the-luggage-handle strap gives me the freedom to securely let it ride on top of my carryon suitcase instead of schlepping it on my back through airports.

Using for work - so far, so good!
I previously used a one-strap briefcase bag to take to work, but the one strap ended up breaking and my bag - laptop included - hit the sidewalk. My laptop ended up cracked and dented, and I ended up devastated and embarrassed. I decided to finally shift to a backpack, because two straps would add some redundancy. in case of a malfunction. After researching dozens of bags, I chose this Kroser Travel Laptop Backpack. I went with the 17.3 inch because my largest laptop (my personal laptop) is 16", but I also have a 14" work laptop. Nearly none of the options I looked at seemed to have significant, thick padding in the laptop compartment, so I added a padded laptop sleeve and some towels in the bottom. The backpack itself seems pretty good. The most important compartment for me was the laptop compartment, and I was easily able to fit the laptop (in the sleeve) and a notebook. In the front pockets, I put some smaller items including phone chargers, pens, business cards. In the middle pocket (the one under the hardened shell, I store my lunch, medications, and other assorted items. I appreciate the size of the water bottle compartments on the side, as I usually have a larger (24-32) oz glass or plastic bottle. Mine fits perfectly! The backpack feels comfortable when wearing it. I appreciate the hardened steel cable in the middle of the main handle. With all of the above inside, it stands on its own (which my briefcase never did). I wish there were more color options for the 17.3. I was hoping for black-on-black, but that was only available in the largest size, which I felt was overkill. I was going for subtlety for this backpack because I will be wearing it at work (shirt and tie environment). However, the red accents at least match my company's logo! I have no interest in using the USB charging cord or hard-shell case at the top, but these are nice features for those who may be interested in it. I wish this (and all other laptop backpacks) had crazy, bulky thick compartments, but this one seemed most versatile, and I found ways to improve the padding on this one. Overall, I am happy with this.

The best budget bag!
To preface this review, I have at least a dozen other bags, been hunting for that perfect one. I'm now looking at bags that are in the $200 to $300 range. For right now though, this Kroser is my current favorite. It's got lots of pockets for organization, although it's sorta generic. I like the zippers, especially the one for the laptop compartment, chonky and smooth! Also, it self stands if you pack it out right! (A self standing bag is one of those things you don't think about, but once you have it, you don't want to go back). It holds both my laptops, my pouches, notebook journal, and still has space for my sweater and other stuff. If the compartmentalization was less generic, and the materials higher quality, and the interior liner a nicer color, it'd be the perfect bag! (Pro tip, if you are picky and want things like higher quality materials, more thought out organization, etc... that's when you're in the high end bag game and looking at stuff like Pioneer Panda or Tom Bihn Synik). But for the price this bag is a steal and I'm so glad I have it!!

A must have
This backpack absolutely rocks. It has all of the features I was looking for. I bought it right before a 15 day trip to Europe with my little kids and wife. I probably had 40lbs+ worth of stuff in it at all times and it was super comfortable had held up without issues. The sunglass holder is super cool and was sooo handy. My wife and others were impressed by that feature. It also compresses down pretty well when not loaded up. The compression straps do a great job of holding down large water bottles and not once did one even slightly fall out. When fairly loaded up it doesn't go underneath a airplane seat too well, but that was expected. I did leave it underneath the seat when going to Europe but decided to store it up top when coming back. The bottles and random stuff just gave me little to no foot space under the front seat. I used to only buy Swiss backpacks but none of them have the chest strap these days and that is non negotiable when using it all day everyday for weeks at a time. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a travel backpack.

Excellent bag & great quality
I was thrilled with this bag from the moment I received it. It was delivered to regional Qld Australia within less than a week of ordering & it is really good quality and design. It feels very sturdy, the fabric is thick & excellent strength (loads more luxurious than I expected for the price), the main handle is reinforced with a cable enclosed in clear plastic and the padding is very comfortable indeed (although I haven’t tried hiking or anything with it yet). It looks as good in person as it does in pics. It is super roomy & has more pockets and compartments than I actually know what to do with - perfect for the person who likes to (or dreams to) be organised. And while I haven’t tried fully loading it up yet, a really big full pencil case, tablet, 1L water bottle, big purse & a bunch of assorted odds & ends I take to work don’t even begin to fill it up, yet it feels a really comfortable size on my shoulder. And even without the secret pocket, with so many pockets & tuck spot it would be a real challenge for anyone to slip their hand in & even find, much less quickly grab your wallet or phone. It even came with a USB cable installed. I haven’t actually used the reinforced pocket yet & it needs a bit of time to relax after being unpacked as it was a bit squished for packaging, but it definitely feels like it will keep sunglasses or a small camera protected. The side stretchy pockets comfortably hold my 1L water bottle & that also helps hide the little zip pockets behind them, which are a great spot for always being able to find your keys. Cannot recommend this bag highly enough! Very impressed & appreciate the excellent quality at that price. And in case you’re wondering… Nope. I have absolutely no affiliation with the manufacturer or Amazon, am just a super happy customer. I hope you enjoy yours. Update- I’ve been using this bag every workday since I bought it & I still love it! It’s definitely excellent quality & very sturdy. The size & number of pockets allow me to keep way too much in it lol, but it stays organised. Would be a perfect travel backpack/carry on, or works great for work so school too. Still very impressed & happy with my purchase.
