## Description

Inuyasha Season 1 (Rpkg) Kagome Higurashi, an average ninth grader, gets pulled into an ancient well by a demon, bringing her 500 years in the past to the feudal era. There, she meets Inuyasha, a half-demon who seeks the Shikon Jewel to make himself a full-fledged demon. With Inuyasha and new friends, Kagome's search for the Jewel of Four Souls begins...

Review: Great Series - I watched InuYasha as a young teenager, and I remember loving it. So when my fiance talked about wanting to get my stepson into shows that are more age-appropriate (as opposed to shows that are far too young for him), this one sprang to mind. I ordered this for his twelfth birthday last month, and sure enough, he loves it! We're watching it together, and I'm just as amused by it as I was when I was young, too. He isn't the least put off by having a female main character (I'd worried he would dismiss the show because it's mainly focused on Kagome at first), and in fact seems to really enjoy Kagome's character in and of herself as well as her interactions with InuYasha. He really identifies with InuYasha's quest to become stronger, his struggles with fitting in, and the dichotomy between the character's crude, temperamental mannerisms and the gradual softening of his heart as he exposes his vulnerable and protective heart. My stepson is also loving the mixture of drama, action, a little romance, and lots of anime comic relief. We aren't even very far in-- episode 10 or so-- so I can't wait to see how excited he gets when other characters start showing up and the real plot twists start coming. As it was, he's already loving Sesshaumaru's aloofness, Miyoga's cowardice, Kaede's sarcasm, and Shippo's playfulness. A note to parents: You do want to watch out if your child is on the more innocent side, because the character Miroku is pretty perverted. I don't worry about this with my stepson (he's allowed to watch Family Guy and South Park, so he's pretty much seen everything there is to see in that department), and the material is pretty mild. But if your child is on the younger side (I'd say anything below middle school) or hasn't had any exposure to mild sexual humor, you may want to take a glance through the series yourself to determine if it's appropriate. Miroku does, on occasion, grope ladies' posteriors, and greets just about every woman he meets by asking her to bear his children. There's a plot reason for this, it's done very comically, and he frequently gets a resounding slap for his overtures, but still, if that's not your thing, proceed with caution. Otherwise, absolutely a fantastic series! I can't wait to buy season 2!
Review: Absolutely Love InuYasha! - InuYasha is such an amazing anime. I'm a Cosplayer and Cosplay Naraku, the compassionless half demon that won't admit he's only a half demon. My best friend had shown me InuYasha roughly 11 years ago. I hadn't paid much mind to it until I really started watching it for myself. The characters develop so much with each episode. Season one has a lot of the base story. There's the introduction of Kagome and her first meeting with InuYasha and Lady Kyaiday (sp?). In the first season you'll probably see InuYasha as an ass who only cares about himself and having the Shikon Jewel to become a full demon. Don't let this fool you. He really does have a kind and caring heart behind his ass attitude. If you love things about demons and magic, then I suggest watching InuYasha. One the note about everyone commenting about "slimmer cases" for this "repackage" of the series, I personally love the idea of a slimmer case. I have the regular cases for what I have already for the series and they take up so much room. These new cases will really clear up some space where my Anime DVDs sit. Also, you don't have to ask what language it's available in as it's listed in the specifics area in the listed product page. It's in both English and Japanese with the option of English subtitles.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Price on a Great Show
*by N***O on February 25, 2016*

Great price for an entire season of such a good show! I remember when the series was coming out, my friend would have her uncle buy her the box sets for around $100. They were nice sets, don't get me wrong, but this is much more affordable for me. I bought a few of the individual DVDs when they came out, and spent the same price per each disc of 3 episodes as you get for this entire season. The first season is very strong, and I'm enjoying finally being able to watch it again as an entire season (because lets face it, I was never going to watch them aired on Adult Swim at 5 o'clock in the morning).
