The solution to avoid changing your valve cover every 3 months
This part definitely does its job. I’ve had a Chevy Cruze with air leak problems, and I used to have to replace the valve cover every 4 months. The issue was that the orange valve inside the intake manifold had failed. To stop having to replace the valve cover so frequently, you need to replace the intake manifold, and this Dorman part is perfect because it’s updated and prevents that orange valve from failing again. Honestly, I haven’t had to replace anything on my car for 2 years since installing it. Highly recommended!

Engine building pressure inside crankcase because a one way valve was missing from the oem manifold
If your Cruze is leaking oil or suddenly blowing oil out from some unknown place, the one way valve inside the intake manifold has deteriorated and is missing. This valve controls the pressure inside the crankcase. When the valve is missing the engine builds so much pressure inside that it will cause the engine to leak oil. This new improved design manifold will prevent this valve from coming out. I had a sudden massive oil leak from the passenger side engine compartment. I could not tell where it came from. The car would not leak on a lift at idle. It would only leak while driving. Anyway, the valve was missing from the oem manifold. I replaced the manifold and the vent hose. This has fixed the oil leak. Dorman actually sells a kit for the Cruze. It includes the improved intake, a new vent hose and a improved valve cover. That would be the best deal.

Works as expected
Used on a 2014 Chevy Cruze. It’s only be on for a couple of months so no word as to it’s longevity yet but everything so far has been great. Good fit and finish, comes with everything you need. If you need to replace your manifold this is definitely worth considering.

A good fix/update for the GM 1.4L Turbo PCV issues
So as many of you know, the main issue and root cause of oil leaks and rough idle on the GM 1.4L Turbo is the rubber valve in the intake manifold. Once this is gone or not functioning, the valve cover diaphragm fails shortly after. GM is paying for valve cover replacements now, but not intake manifolds. So if you want to keep throwing valve covers on and bandaging the problem, that is fine. This is your permanent fix though. Google "cruzetalk pcv issues" for more info on this clear defect. You can either get a fix kit from CruzeKits website or buy this (or another GM manifold that will fail again). This has a plastic piece behind the rubber valve that is supposed to hold it in place. This is a 1x1 fit and bolts up as you'd expect. You use the supplied screws for the fuel rail and the rest uses existing hardware. As far as using a throttle body spacer, the bolts I had were a little too long, or the holes weren't threaded all the way. I put a drip of oil in each hold and slowly ran down and backed out each bolt, cutting more threads. In the end it worked out and the throttle body and spacer are tight. This is a tremendous value and will solve many check engine codes including: P0171, P0106, P1101, P0507, P0299, P2096 as well as rough idle and oil consumption. You need to book about 1 hour off for a very experienced mechanic, probably 3-4 hours for a weekend warrior, and a full afternoon if you're just learning watching youtube videos to install this.

Saved me alot of money.
I had oil burning issues with my 2015 Buick encore. A lot of oil consumption. This has a built in pvc valve that blows out and oil runs into your intake. Comon problem. I recommend replacing your valve cover also because it causes your built in pcv valve to suck air. Install was time consuming but I had a mechanic friend help me. No problem with the fit and did not have to modify anything. Be careful, all plastic on engine is brittle. No more oil consumption or smoking.

Ya le había realizado la modificación pcv fix kit a mi Cruze, pero sentía que mi colector de admisión ya no funcionaba correctamente, por lo que decidí comprar este para reemplazar el original y todo muy bien hasta ahora.

This is upgraded from the OEM one in that there’s apparently a plastic piece that holds the orange umbrella PCV valve in place, so it should last longer than the original one. Perfect fit, high quality, nothing much else to say other than to get this one if you’re needing a new intake manifold!

2015 Buick Encore. Perfect fit as a replacement to the OEM intake. Purchased separately with the Valve cover. It's been over a month since I installed it, no error code and no oil loss.

I’ve installed three of these kits on 3 different cars. No issues whatsoever. Excellent price compared to local distributor. Built quality seems better than OEM.

Went in smooth one issue. Fuel injector o ring was for the top , missing the bottom o rings only 4 in the kit need 8 if disconnecting the top of the injector which is unnecessary.
