Ordered on Tuesday. Delivered on Friday. Forgot to tell husband. OOPS! Oh Well! Assembly was a breeze. Only looked at directions for 1 chair. Did not need for other three. Table did not even look at directions. No damage to carton when delivered. All pieces, and screws were there. Quality materials used. Chairs tuck under without sticking out. Roomy seating for 4 without leaf. Looks like it will seat 6 comfortably when extended. Fits in dining area just like I pictured it. Would highly recommend. Looked for quite a while before deciding on this set. Price is exceptional. Yes husband likes it to! Again very happy with purchase.

Giving a 4 if only b/c the boxes showed up with some damage to the big one with the table in it. There is a cracked 'support board' on the underside of the table where the leaf is housed. I don't know the specific term for such a board... it is vertically attached on the long axis. If I had to guess, it was cracked due to a compression load, like something heavy may have been rested on top of the box... it's split along the grain, not across it. Think of a Kit Kat candy bar... if you separated the layers slightly, but didn't break the bar in half. That's how it's cracked (and the crack does 'break out' of the bottom edge of the board). It doesnt appear to be structural in as much as it doesn't open up if I bear down on the table top.. not that I can do by myself anyway. I was angry at first, but realized it could be fixed with some deck screws and glue (as I read in a few other reviews of 'mail order furniture'). It cant be seen from the top. If it was a visible problem, I'd have sent it back for sure. The set seems sturdy and the legs all hit the ground at the same time, no wobbles. It was easy to put together, but I'm a gear head, so this was barely a bother. Just take your time, don't final tighten anything on any given piece until you have all the bolts run down at least finger tight. THEN, final tighten all the bolts while making any adjustments to fit as you go.. nudge here or there to line things up.. then tighten and move to next bolt. I'm not sure the finish is terribly deep.. it looks 'rich' and I like the color, but going by some of the scratches it suffered on the underside in that break-area.. it just doesn't seem super deep. I hope I'm just being overly critical. For the money though, to get solid wood furniture (and I have no idea what the wood 'is', just that there's no veneer that I can detect), that is solid and seems sturdy.. can't really complain much at this point. I've had it maybe a month so far. I like the butterfly leaf at this point... easy to use. Maybe it'll get to be a pain to use later as it ages.. who knows. For now, it operates smoothly. I suspect it will continue to do so. If I spilled a gallon of oatmeal on it, I'd own whatever cantankerousness resulted from gumming up the works. 'Oatmeal-proof' is not a certification for furniture that I'm aware of. It's pretty much exactly what I expected, and that's about as much as I can ask. (for the record, this might be the 3rd ever review I've done on the 'zon.... the 2nd one was 20 min ago.. I guess i'm in the mood to review stuff)

Table and chairs look great, appear to be well made, and are comfortable. Very good purchase. Note, there were minor cosmetic blemishes, but nothing that wouldn't happen through normal wear and tear, so I didn't sweat it (and now can't even tell where they were - so they were really minor). Also, note that due to the position of the table legs, it's not really feasible to get more than 4 chairs around the table. That said, very happy with this purchase, and particularly surprised with the quality of the product (build quality, style) for the money - excellent value.

I purchased this for my daughter’s student apartment. We are very impressed by this product, especially given the modest price point. Both the table and the chairs assembled into sturdy, attractive furniture.

I was skeptical of buying furniture without seeing it in person, I rolled the dice and purchased this table and chairs. I was very pleased with the quality of it and the ease of putting it together. And it is very easy to pull apart and the center leaf unfolds in a snap and there is no need to store it anywhere else as it folds under the table if you want to make it smaller. Very pleased with this purchase!! The only thing I would advise is to get a #4 Allen socket and ratchet to speed up assembling

I almost love this table. It looks great, it's very sturdy, it was easy to put together. (I highly recommend buying a hex bit for your ratchet tool though!). It's fits nice in a small space and I can add additional chairs if I need to. My only complaint is the large noticeable seam in the middle. I feel like the edges could have been made smoother to fit together so there is less of a groove. I have had tables with a built in leaf before and the joint was much less obvious.

Looks nice, very sturdy but not really ment for 6. All 6 chairs don't fit under table and you need to watch your knees!

I have wanted this style of dining set 'forever'. Now that we are down to just us 2 old people, this size and price was great. It fits our dining room perfectly, but has the built in extension should we actually feed guests sometime.
