If you aren't a student and are new to this line of study, Matt Powers's book, Regenerative Soil might be a better starting point. I am revisiting this text after reading Matt's book and it is making the reading easier to follow as it takes things a few steps further. Review: An essential read for anyone wanting an in-depth breakdown of soil and the animals that live in it. it's expensive, unfortunately.
