A: Red Star should arrive vacuum packed which will keep the yeast fresh. I had one bag arrive with the yeast loose inside and though it still worked it seemed to have lost some strength. You want it to arrive vacuum packed.

**Q: does this come as a vacuum sealed solid brick?**
A: Yes, but it isn't resealable.

**Q: If the package arrives with a past expectation date or torn can it be returned**
A: Ask Amazon for that one, but it should be allowed.

**Q: This package was damaged and all over box. Can i get a replacement?**

I regularly make my own bagels, so regularly need yeast. The little packages one gets in the market are exorbitant in cost. So with this order I get fresh, live, useable yeast that not only saves me there, but also saves on the cost of store bought bagels. I have kept the bulk of the package in the freezer for years, and fill a small jar in the refrigerator for most of this year’s use. It has always worked. Go ahead and bake more kinds of bread with it, or share with someone else. There’s plenty to last for years.
