Toyota FJ Cruiser 2006-2018

This is a 1 minute install, and it makes it a new car. If you’re confused about the eco mode, it’s only going to save you gas mileage on a long trip. Eco mode actually makes the throttle response slower but the manual says to use it for a higher traction situation? I’m pretty sure the instructions for this are identical for every car and each unit is the same , they’re just type specific for each car. Eco mode just makes the throttle response worse. The race track setting or highest setting or whatever is a little misleading. This just speeds up the sensitivity for the acceleration. It doesn’t speed up or slow down the timing or remap it in any way. It’s still sweet though. You’ll save the same amount of gas if you turn it all the way up and just accelerate easily and drive in a more efficient manner. I will say the sensitivity on the super high setting is nuts and the city mode is just fine. Well worth the 300 bucks and I highly recommend it.

Very surprised how this item changes the FJ’s performance. Eco, City, Sport, Sport+ make it a completely new rig! Trying out Sport level 4 was scary! Rear wheels were spinning with just a slight tip of the gas pedal! This was a jaw- dropping moment to say the least.

Pros: Pedal Commander will save your fuel in Eco Mode. It will open your vehicle’s throttle to burn rubber in Sport+ Mode. There is a full range of options to open or reduce throttle response. Installation is easier than you might think. There’s Bluetooth connectivity if you want to adjust the throttle from your phone or you can completely ignore that capability. Cons: Pedal Commander does not increase horsepower, it only increases or decreases your vehicle’s throttle response. (Is that bad? Not at all but it can be confusing to people that don’t understand what throttle response is). The cable could be longer to give you more mounting options. Overall: it will pay for itself when you use Eco Mode. This is a definitely worth your time and money.

Ok right off the bat it’s the easiest thing to install just follow the instructions on your phone. Then turn on the car and have your Bluetooth ready, then set it too eco mode. Instant throttle control and MAN!!! When you put it in sport+ lol just a tap blasts you off instant. The day I got it I shared it with a couple of car guys that now totally want one.

This product did what it advertised. Toyota has been notorious for underpowered engines. Maybe that's one reason they last so long. I always thought a 4litre engine should have more initial pep. Now it does! The pedal commander gives my FJ a little more pop and response than stock. It does not affect the anti spin option but seems to apply more usable power to an otherwise sluggish acceleration. Most driving I do is urban and I use the sport mode so getting out in traffic is much better. Good product!!!

I'm on the fence on recommending this or not. The price isn't justifiable unless you actually save 10-15% on gas OR you really want a better throttle response at which point I'd say: any price is worth getting exactly what you want. Pros: Easy plug + play install Works exactly as advertised for changing throttle response (this is so rare it should be stated thrice) Unit is compact and looks pretty cool Cons: Price, my god this is pricey for what effectively is a signal relay with multiple delay curves Seriously doubt you're looking at 20% gas savings on Eco, like that is ridiculous. Given all of the above, I'll tell you that if you are OK with spending the $$ to be able to change up your gas pedal's response, you will be getting exactly that, no question. This box works exactly as advertised, all modes work correctly, all upward/downward adjustments work flawlessly. The box retains your last adjustment so that you don't have to fiddle over & over again once you get it right. If you are not OK with spending the $$ or are really just trying to save on gas, I can't recommend without really testing this thing longer. I noticed no discernable gas increases in City (-4 adjustment) but the movement was peppier, so it's also worth noting that there was no increase in consumption. I will be testing Eco (+2 adjustment, this thing is too sluggish otherwise) for a long road trip in July - I'll update my review with Eco (+2) gas savings for my SUV.

The installation took about 10 minutes. It took me more time to decide on where to mount it than to actually get it running. I've only driven it for about 100 miles, but the available power is much more noticeable and I'm very pleased so far. I found a little mud to mess around in, the throttle response is much more natural and therefore, feels more controlled. I've read the Eco mode can be helpful when going over rocky terrain to keep the throttle more steady, but that's a test for another day. My first impression is that I should have done this day one.

Installation is straightforward. The controller plugs directly into the original accelerator plug - perfect fit. The controller and packaging are well built 😊. Speed ✔️ Functionality ✔️.

Fitted to my FJ Cruiser. It's really woken the car up. The controller is tucked away and controlled via an app on my phone. The car has become very lively in sport + but can be tamed down with other modes as necessary. Surprised what a difference this has made fo throttle response.

My bad luck received the product with a different connector which does not fit the FJ cruiser . Hence I returned and bought the same brand correct product from the local market .

Very well made. Easy to install, Hardest thing is where to place the control pad. The throttle response has greatly improved with my FJ. Thought there might be an issue due to it being manual. Works great, have yet to explore the full potential of this unit.
