**Q: do you iron it on?**
A: You use a carpet seaming iron

**Q: Is there something special about carpet seaming irons or will any old iron work?**
A: I don't know much about this topic; however, any old iron will not work.  It must be hot enough to completely melt the glue quickly, and without needing to be set as high as it will go to get the job done.  It should be long enough to cover at least 8 inches at a time.  (If the iron is 8 inches, you can only move it 8 inches at a time.)  Also, be sure it comes with a heat shield to set it on when not in use.  I hope you will get more information than this, and I hope this little bit helps.

**Q: can this be used for an outdoor application?**
A: It is the same tape used for indoor carpet seaming. I guess if you will have your rugs outside not subject to adverse weather conditions, it would work. Not sure about bad weather.

**Q: Does the tape have paper or fabric backing?**
A: Paper
