Box broken
Very disappointed with the state of the wooden case when opened, the inside ledge was loose and needs gluing back, the arm is flimsy and I don't think it will support the half tray for long. Otherwise the pastels are intact and undamaged, with lovely colours. It was the last box at a bargain price which is why I have not sent it back.

I used to do portraits in pastels many years ago, but had to stop for various reason. Now that I'm not so busy I wanted to pick up where I left off, but I realized that my old pastels needed upgrading so I did much research on the subject. There were so many favorable comments, videos and reviews on Sennelier Extra-Soft Pastels for quality and pricing. First, I purchased the box of 120 half sticks which I loved. I had never used such soft chalk before which seemed to glide along the paper. It was a beautiful experience with so many amazing colors that blend so well. I noticed that Sennelier had an Extra-Soft Pastel Half Stick Set of 60. I ordered it because it came in a beautiful box which is perfect to work from for my work area. The 60 colors were repeats of some of the colors in the 120 box but I wanted to have spares. I love the box and it's design. It's perfect for my work set-up. Also, I had to return my first box because the top portion of the inner box that holds the sticks was broken. I got a replacement and all is well. I highly recommend.
