The taste is dialed up to 11??  Yes, yes it is.  And thank god for that!  That's the way we like it.This stuff is the most addictive substance known to man. I'm not kidding -- as soon as one of these things lands on my tongue, and I feel the satisfying crunch of the cracker between my teeth, all the pleasure buttons in my brain light up like the gaudiest pachinko machine in all of Osaka.Do not put one of these wafers in your mouth unless you're willing to become a slave to this god. Fortunately, it is a loving god. A crunchy, savory, delicious god.My only problem now is that as soon as I get a box of 12 bags, it seems to disappear in no time flat. In part because my girl steals half of them. Guard them carefully; they are not easily found at stores in the states.

The individual crackers are smaller than traditional senbei, and unlike the real thing have a couple of extra ingredients (vegetable oil, potato starch, powdered soy sauce). The taste is very "dialed up to 11"; they have a very satisfying crunch, but if you're looking for the more subtle taste of real senbei made from just rice and salt, and brushed with real soy sauce, then you'll have to look somewhere else.
