Wow! These are amazing for my low back pain. The generous size covers a very large area. They begin to work within minutes and last a solid 8 hours. These help my pain go from from severe (8/10) to minimal (2/10) without the use of stomach-irritating pain relievers. Smell is minimal and tolerable. May seem pricey at 3 patches per box but for all -day pain relief, these are well worth it. We always keep a box on hand for the 2-3 x year we need them. They are a bit tricky to apply, best to have some help. Can also be cut into smaller sizes, just cut a slit in the top to help with peeling. Make sure you apply to clean and dry skin and smooth it out while applying a bit of pressure to help it adhere better. Hold it in place with a fitted tee tucked under your clothes.

I had been suffering with lower back pain for about two weeks. It got to the point where Itwas so painful that I couldn't function. The wife urged me to try IcyHot. Wow! after about an hour I could feel it working. I slept with it on and work up the next morning with practically no pain. I highly recommend this product.

Really works on muscle pain

I use these a lot, and they are way better than the ones with lidocaine that cost so much more. They got me through a 15.5 hour flight from LAX to Melbourne when the outlet would not power my heating pad. They got me through Oogie Boogie Bash. And they get me through times when I can't bring my special pillows or heating pad. Just snap as the directions indicate, and they are easy to apply. I find removal can be an issue if they haven't been on very long because they are still quite sticky, but running some water on them helps quite a lot. From my experience, they start working in a few minutes, and they last strongly for about three hours. They are mild for about two more hours, and after that, I don't really notice anything. I have a spinal injury from being rear-ended, and the pain is constant, so I've tried a lot of things in the last 15 years. I also like that these are in a resealable pouch that can easily be tucked in a purse or maybe even a pocket, so you can take them on the go.

There's nothing to compare to Icy Hot patches or cream. As someone recently diagnosed with AXSPA, I should own stock in icy hot. I could sit in a bathtub full of the stuff =) While this particular product has only 3 patches, I cut them to fit and it makes at least six normal sized patches. They stick amazingly. As for the smell, you aren't hurting bad enough if the smell bothers you. A great product.

I use these and so does my wife. We both get occasional lower back pain from over exercising. Put one of these on in the morning and it takes the edge off the pain. The size is good so you don't need more than one

I bought this expecting three boxes (3 count as labelled in product description and as shown in the product images) but only received 1 box with 3 patches inside - instead of 3 boxes each with 3 patches inside. Quite frankly, $18 for 1 box of icy hot with just 3 patches is really ridiculous. Reading through these reviews, I see this is a consistent problem with this product - some people get 3 boxes with 9 patches total and other gets 1 box with just 3 patches total.
