He reported that he did well and "the tips on the book were really helpful" and that "all kicked in while doing the test". This is a very affordable option to support your teen for the SAT, PROVIDED that they make a study plan / schedule AND put the effort and time to complete it. "The tips were very useful" My son after the SAT test
I was offered very expensive courses for SAT prep. I don't believe all the content in math and languaje can be reviewed in a few hours... so instead I bought this book when my son was in 10th grade, and asked him to review bit by bit until he was done. And he did the work, at least an hour a week, more in the Summer. His PSAT numbers were solid. Fast forward to 11th grade, yesterday he gave the real SAT. He reported that he did well and "the tips on the book were really helpful" and that "all kicked in while doing the test". This is a very affordable option to support your teen for the SAT, PROVIDED that they make a study plan / schedule AND put the effort and time to complete it. The tips and content do not transfer by osmosis.

Detailed and Informative
It’s very detailed and simplifies everything to help the reader understand. It goes step-by-step plus they give tips of studying and what to do on and before the testing day. I am confident it will help me score a good grade on my SAT next year

Extensive practice and tips for the serious test taker...
This is a huge book, over 900 pages, but it will hopefully help my son score well on his SATs down the road. He has plenty of time to work through the book; however, if you are on a time crunch something smaller might be more appropriate for last minute cramming. It appears to be comprehensive, covering Math and English as well as the optional essay, though math is given the most coverage. Each page has labeled tabs for quickly finding the sections (i.e. Math, Reading, Writing & Language, etc). The opening section (part 1) gives an overview of the test in terms of number of questions and time allotted as well as scoring. Then subsequent “parts” have chapters with specific areas of study (i.e. linear equations and graphs, literature passages, etc.) Throughout these sections, strategies as well as answers and explanations to the sample questions are covered. For example, in the English section there’s a brief review/explanation on the use of semicolons in one of the sections under “Writing & Language.” For some of the math sections there are tips labeled “on test day.” All in all, I suspect this book should be beneficial to students who are serious about preparing and are looking to gain both practice and familiarity with the SAT exam prior to test day.

I am an SAT tutor and I LOVE the new organization of this very thorough prep manual.
